**6/10 — A FLY IN THE CAKE. And that’s not even the biggest disappointment.** Yes, literally — we found a fly in a piece of cake at the Italian restaurant. The staff apologized, and we have no personal complaints about the waitress, but for a hotel proudly advertised as **“BEST 4 STAR HOTEL IN BULGARIA FOR 2025”**, it certainly leaves an impression. The hotel itself is clean, renovated and well maintained. Our room was spacious, housekeeping was excellent, the AC worked perfectly and the soundproofing was very good. However, comfort was disappointing. The pillows were extremely hard, the two-part mattress kept sliding apart, creating a nightly gap in the middle of the bed. We also had two single duvets instead of one double — and one of them actually ended up being used as a pillow. Food was the biggest disappointment. The main restaurant had a limited and repetitive selection with queues. The Italian restaurant was almost the same food: disappointing carbonara, Caesar salad with Chinese cabbage instead of romaine, and over-fried chicken. The Asian restaurant was somewhat better, although the sushi could be improved. The beach is genuinely good, with free sun loungers usually available in the morning. The beach bar staff were fast and polite. Overall, the hotel is decent, but **very overhyped**. After reading so many positive reviews and seeing the “BEST 4 STAR HOTEL” title, our expectations were much higher than the reality. **Overall: 6/10. Good beach and cleanliness, but definitely not what we expected from the “BEST 4★ HOTEL IN BULGARIA”.**

Henkilökohtaisesti tämä oli paras hotelli, jossa olen käynyt. Ruoka täällä oli parasta verrattuna muihin hotelleihin, kuten Turkissa. Kuntosali on aika kiva. Pidin erityisesti animaatiotiimistä, koska he olivat niin avoimia kaikille, jotka täällä tapasin. Pidin siitä, miten he esiintyivät joka päivä, ja he olivat joka kerta hyvin valmistautuneita. Haluaisin kiittää Astoria-hotellia upeasta vierailusta. Olin täällä jo kolmannen kerran! Todella hieno kokemus! Tämä on täydellinen paikka mukavuuteen ja rentoutumiseen. Yksityinen ranta, jossa on oma ravintola ja baari. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Pääravintola oli aivan loistava pienimpiäkin yksityiskohtia myöten. Tervetuliaisruokailutila niille, jotka saapuvat myöhään illalla. Ilmainen matkatavarasäilytys uloskirjautumisen jälkeen, jota voi käyttää useita kertoja – loistava idea! All inclusive -rannekkeen voi pitää uloskirjautumisen jälkeenkin, joten voi vielä nauttia juomia ja ruokaa ennen kotimatkaa. Kiitosta uusista kahvinkeittimistä ja siivouspalvelun parantamisesta. Kofeiiniton kahvi valikoimassa on todellinen pelastus! Huone: Tilava, siisti ja kauniisti sisustettu. Siitä puuttuivat kuitenkin perusvarusteet, kuten vedenkeitin, kahvi tai tee. Toisinaan iltaisin kylpyhuoneesta tuli paha haju. Se ei kuitenkaan tullut meidän kylpyhuoneestamme. Italialainen ravintola: 9/10 – Herkullista ruokaa ja miellyttävä ilmapiiri. Lohen laatu oli erinomaista. Aasialainen ravintola: 10/10 – Maukkaita ja kauniisti esille laitettuja ruokia. Erinomaisia mereneläviä ja tom yum -keittoa! Pääbuffetravintola: 11/10 – Loistava valikoima ja laatu. Hienosti valmistettua kalaa, naudanlihaa ja lammasta! Ruoka on kuin viiden tähden hotellissa! Erityiskiitos kokille!! Kaikkialla oli mukavia baarimikkoja, jotka pyrkivät tarjoamaan parasta mahdollista palvelua (kiitos Maksim ja Dmitry!) Nyt on aika ”mutta”-kohdille: 1) Olkaa hyvät ja järjestäkää tupakointikieltoalue rannalle ja kieltäkää tupakointi parvekkeilla! Koko loman aikana pystyimme olemaan parvekkeella alle 15 minuuttia! Huoneessamme ei voinut hengittää ilmanpuutteen takia. Rannalla jouduimme liittymään muiden ihmisten seuraan ja luomaan oman savuttoman alueen, jotta välttyisimme jatkuvalta savulta. Tupakoitsijoita oli kaikkialla! Aivan kuin rutto! Tulin tänne rentoutumaan ja hengittämään raitista ilmaa, en muiden ihmisten nikotiinipitoista hengitystä. Inhottavaa ja epäterveellistä! 2) Siivotkaa yksityisrannanne. Siellä oli paljon tupakantumppeja ja lasinsirpaleita. 3) Uudet all inclusive -rannekkeenne ovat niin biohajoavia, että ne kestivät vain kaksi päivää. Minun piti hankkia uusia pari kertaa. Kaiken kaikkiaan hotellin periaatteena on tarjota kaikkea, jotta vieraat voivat nauttia lomastaan. Pidin siitä todella. Sijainti on loistava. Suosittelen Astoriaa lämpimästi!

Kokemukseni Hotel Astoriassa oli erinomainen. Tilat ovat huippuluokkaa, huoneet ovat erittäin viihtyisiä ja henkilökunta on ammattitaitoista ja huomaavaista. Yleinen ilmapiiri ja palvelun laatu tekivät vierailustani upean. Arvostin myös johdon reagointikykyä ja sitoutumista asiakkaiden tyytyväisyyteen. Hotelli on luotettava ja hyvin hoidettu, ja suosittelen sitä lämpimästi kaikille, jotka vierailevat alueella.

First of all, I would like to express great respect for the people who manage this place, because it's certainly not an easy task. After reading both the positive and negative reviews, I can say that this hotel definitely evokes mixed emotions. The positives are the varied food, the three nice restaurants, and that's about it. However, after staying here for 10 days, you realize that the food becomes quite repetitive. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner are practically the same every day, with the only real difference being the desserts and pastries. The soft drinks are branded as Coca-Cola, but are they really? The juices from the dispensers taste completely different from the bottled Cappy juices. As for the cocktails, all the flavored syrups are non-alcoholic. Why? The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there are no problems when you need assistance. The hotel itself feels enormous. Fortunately, most guests spend their time at the beach, so the swimming pools are not too crowded. There is something for everyone: a 0.5 m children's pool, a swimming pool for laps, and a 1.4 m recreational pool. For families with children, I strongly recommend bringing water shoes because the beach is partly covered with pebbles and many shells. There is also a strip of shells when entering the sea. The rooms are clean, although even when we left the "Please clean the room" sign on the door, the housekeeping was barely noticeable. The beds were made and the bathroom mirror was wiped, but the sand brought back from the beach remained in the shower because there was no practical way to rinse it away. During our 10-day stay, the shower gel was hardly ever refilled, and it seemed that nobody was checking these supplies. Overall, despite the few issues mentioned above, I think this hotel is a good choice for a family holiday with children. The good weather certainly had a big influence on our overall experience. Although the hotel offers entertainment activities, in my opinion they are only average. Most of them take place in the morning and afternoon, with a short children's disco at 8:00 p.m. There is no option to leave your children in the Kids Club for more than two hours. Also, despite the posted opening hours, they are not respected. Sometimes the staff member arrives late, and other times the Kids Club closes earlier than scheduled.
