Marina Grand Beach Hotel – All inclusive

I don’t recommend this hotel. The rooms were spacious, but unfortunately quite outdated and in need of better maintenance. The toilet seat showed clear signs of wear and tear, and there was an unpleasant and persistent smell both in the bathroom and along the hallway. The ventilation/air-purifying unit in the hallway was visibly covered in mold, which was particularly concerning. The children’s pool was dirty, and the food was another major disappointment. We were served essentially the same menu every day, with very little variety. In terms of quality, I would rate the food around 3 out of 5. Some dishes were quite disappointing, while only a few were properly seasoned; most of the food was simply average and had a decent, but unremarkable, taste. The cleanliness in the dining area was very poor. There were clearly too few staff members for the number of guests, and the dining area was constantly messy. On several occasions, we ended up wiping the tables ourselves or taking dirty plates away because they were not being cleared promptly. Another recurring issue was that certain dishes would simply run out during meal times. When we went to ask the kitchen staff about them, we were often met with a shrug and responses such as, “We don’t have any left, maybe tomorrow.” This was particularly frustrating, especially considering that the same limited menu was being served day after day. Overall, while the rooms were spacious, the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, limited food variety, and inadequate service significantly affected our experience.

We are currently staying at this hotel with my wife and child until June 23. The hotel itself is not bad. Our room is quite clean, and the housekeeping staff are very kind and dedicated — thanks to them, we are giving one extra star. However, the biggest issue for us is the extremely loud music coming from the ground floor garden area. It is so loud that our child cannot sleep, even with the balcony doors closed. My wife and I cannot sit on the balcony and have a normal conversation because we literally have to shout. On top of that, the balcony doors cannot be closed from the outside. The animators are very irritating, and the music is excessively loud and exactly the same every single day. We would not have any issue if normal music were played at a reasonable volume, but this is far from acceptable. We raised a complaint about this, as the noise starts at 8 PM and continues until 10 PM every evening. The animators use microphones, talk loudly, and shout even when there are no guests in the garden. We came here to relax and enjoy the sea view, but instead, every evening we are forced to close the doors at 8 PM and stay inside the room. This completely ruins the experience. The food is average — there is too much pork, and we have not seen any beef during our 7-day stay. Desserts are the same every day, with no variety. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we would definitely not return to this hotel.

Our stay at Marina Grand Beach was everything we hoped for — great service, genuinely welcoming staff, and surprisingly healthy food that actually tasted good. What stood out most, though, were the people. We made real friends here, not just pleasant encounters. Leyli, a receptionist from Turkmenistan, is one of those rare people who makes you feel like you've known her for years. We spent hours talking in the lobby — about life, about cultural differences and a lot of memes — and we're still in touch to this day. If there's anyone who understands how to build a genuine human connection with guests, it's her. Sasha, the bartender from Uzbekistan, was another highlight — great energy, great conversations, plenty of laughs. Honestly, there's nothing bad to say about this place. Everyone made us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

I don’t know where to start, but even one star is too generous. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. I’ve travelled to over 60 countries and stayed in countless hotels, so I know what to expect from a hotel of this rating. The hotel was not clean. I found a clump of black hair on the bathroom floor, and if the cleaners can’t spot something that obvious, I don’t even want to imagine what else isn’t being cleaned. The entire property looks old, tired, and in desperate need of renovation. The staff were unhelpful, rude, and their favourite phrase seemed to be, “This isn’t my fault.” Nobody takes responsibility for anything, and everyone simply points the finger at someone else. It was honestly ridiculous. The worst part, however, was the food. I paid for an all-inclusive package, but after my first meal I decided to eat elsewhere. I thought I’d give the hotel one more chance and went for breakfast the next morning. It was absolutely disgusting. Nothing tasted fresh, and to make matters worse, the bread was covered in mould. When I complained, nobody seemed to be responsible for the kitchen. The receptionist actually laughed in my face and told me that if I wasn’t happy, I could send an email because it had nothing to do with her. I then had to wait around 20 minutes before someone finally came to speak to me. She wasn’t even the manager, but at least she was polite. What was most concerning was that she didn’t seem surprised by my complaint and even admitted this had happened before. Communication was also difficult because many of the staff spoke very poor English. While I was waiting, another guest was also complaining loudly that the food wasn’t fresh, so it was obvious this wasn’t an isolated issue. I requested an immediate check out, but the hotel said there was nothing they could do. Thankfully, I contacted my holiday provider, who arranged a full refund almost immediately. I then booked a lovely, clean apartment right on the beach and enjoyed the rest of my holiday. Avoid this hotel at all costs. It was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

Great location, 5min walk from the beach. Some freshing up, modernization would be good. Very professional and friendly staff in the whole hotel, extra points for that! We had a one-bedroom suite. Room was very clean, 2 small TVs, two bathrooms, one 2m wide bed, great balcony with the seaview. Cleaned every day, bedsheets were not changed (5 night stay). Minibar included 2 water, 2 ice tea and 2 light beer, filled every day. Pool area was clean. Bar in the pool. Enough sunbeds. Massage was heavenly. I even booked second session for 'medical massage'. Highly recommended! Animation team was bored and tired. Very short activities, if any. Food and 'snacks' - that was the saddest part of our stay. Snacks were cookies, fries and pizza. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - well, you can eat, but is there a quality and taste, no. Mostly the same food with a small variation. Not what we have experienced in other Bulgarian all-inclusive-plus hotels. Overall experience 3/5.
