Royal Alhambra Palace – All Inclusive

My room was on the first floor, G blok, approx. 3 metres from the street. Garbage was in the room for 3 days, they said it’s a practise. I needed to ask for clean glasses, cups, for towels, almost for everything. The food is great, delicious and fresh every day, chefs are great, waiters as well. Also, stuff from the pool bar is great, always on service. I was expecting much more for the amounr of money I paid. I have to praise one more thing, entertainment team. They put so much effort and love in everything they do for the whole day. Special thanks to two beautiful, pleasant and very welcoming gorls, Megan from Britain and Cindy from Germany.

Hotel appearance is good. Beach is sandy. A lot of attractions for children. Big swimming pools. A lot of sun beds. Plenty of food - except baklava. Weak point is cleanliness. We never felt our room was cleaned - the bed was made, trashbin was emptied - that is all. The cleanliness of the dishes and cups in main restaurant is disastrous.

The hotel grounds are nice. The beach and the animation team were really good. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel staff just seem to want you out of the way. They are not very welcoming or friendly. The receptionist was the only person who spoke English, but she was also rushing to get us away from the reception. We received almost no information about the hotel. There was no map or online information showing where to find things or when the restaurants and bars were open. The only information available was a printed sheet in the elevator with the restaurant opening times, and that was it. Everything else you have to discover yourself by walking around and checking the opening times posted at each entrance. Zero effort on the presentation of the food or the drinks in the restaurant or the bars. I would only recommend this place for a short stay. I was expecting more from a 5* place.

Extremely disappointing compared to 5 years ago – we do not recommend it We stayed at Royal Alhambra Palace from 31 July to 7 August 2026, 2 adults and 1 child, together with another group of 8 people. We had stayed at this hotel around 5 years ago and decided to return because we had a good experience back then. Unfortunately, the hotel has changed dramatically for the worse. In the room, we found stained towels, missing soap and shower gel, and the minibar was not refilled consistently. The furniture and room equipment also felt very outdated. The bed linen was not changed at all during our 7-night stay, despite us requesting it several times. Housekeeping was also carried out very late, sometimes around 3:00–5:00 PM, which was very inconvenient, especially for families with children. The restaurant was one of the biggest disappointments. The food was very repetitive, there were long queues, service was extremely slow, and the overall cleanliness of some food preparation areas did not inspire confidence. The desserts were also disappointing, and once certain cakes were finished, they were often not replenished. Tables were frequently left uncleared for long periods, and sometimes we had to wait 20–30 minutes before a waiter attended to us. Many tablecloths were stained, worn or torn. Communication with staff was also difficult because many employees spoke little or no English. The most serious incident happened one evening when the children in our group accidentally sat at a table that we were later told was reserved, although there was no sign or notice on the table. A waiter started shouting at the children and hit the table with his fist, telling them to leave immediately. We found the children crying. When we asked the waiter for an explanation, he started shouting at us as well and approached us in a way we considered threatening. A restaurant supervisor had to intervene and restrain him. In all our years of travelling, we have never experienced behaviour like this in a hotel. The bar service was also poor. There was not enough staff, and waiting times could reach 30–40 minutes for a single drink. Cocktails were prepared differently every time, and on several occasions the glasses did not appear properly clean, so we preferred using disposable cups. The main positive point is the outdoor area: there are many swimming pools and the hotel has an excellent beachfront location. Unfortunately, many of the sunbeds and umbrellas are old, worn and damaged. It is a real shame because this hotel has enormous potential, but compared with our visit 5 years ago, the deterioration is very noticeable. We do not recommend Royal Alhambra Palace and we will not return. For a hotel advertised as a 5-star property, the current service and overall conditions are far below expectations.

This is my fourth time vacationing in Turkey, and my stay at this hotel has been the worst experience I have had so far. The cleanliness of the rooms is at an extremely poor level. On the first day of our arrival, there were no basic hygiene products in the room, and no one came to replenish them afterwards. On the third day of our stay, after noticing that no one had entered our room to clean it, I had to go to the reception and specifically ask for the room to be cleaned. Even after that, there was still no body wash or shampoo in the bathroom, so I had to go and buy them from a local shop. However, none of the above is the main reason for this negative review. The main reason is the extremely rude and unfriendly attitude of the staff. First, I had an unpleasant interaction with the doorman sitting in the booth at the hotel entrance. He literally confronted me because I was not wearing the hotel wristband at that moment. I apologized and explained that I would put it on immediately. The next situation happened in the restaurant, where we were mistakenly seated at the wrong table by a member of staff. The table had already been reserved. After a few minutes, two male staff members, presumably a supervisor or manager, came over and aggressively told us that we had to get up immediately. They even told us that we would have to pay if we did not leave the table right away. We tried unsuccessfully to explain that we had not chosen or taken that table ourselves and that their colleagues had seated us there. Of course, misunderstandings can always happen, and moving to another table would not have been a problem at all. The problem was the way they treated us. They literally chased us away from the table, saying: “Just get up immediately. This is an expensive service. Get up, otherwise you will have to pay for everything.” This is the first negative review I have ever written about a hotel, and this has been by far the worst hotel experience I have had. I definitely would never return to this hotel again.
