Our first family holiday at Royal Wings was absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From the very beginning, the reservations team were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the booking process, making us feel welcome before we had even arrived.
Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming, especially with children. The entertainment team were fantastic, and our daughter absolutely loved the Kids’ Club!
The hotel itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had a wonderful atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with a huge variety of delicious options available every day.
One thing we really appreciated was that even when we had a late breakfast, there were still plenty of sunbeds available by both the pool and the beach, which made our days so much more relaxing.
The water park and theme park were fantastic and provided endless fun for the whole family.
We had such a wonderful holiday and would love to return. We would highly recommend Royal Wings to anyone looking for a fantastic family holiday.
Royal Wings Hotel in Antalya is truly a slice of paradise on Earth! The resort spans a vast area surrounded by beautiful nature and offers an incredible range of facilities, including numerous swimming pools, a water park, an amusement park, and a private beach equipped with sun loungers and cabanas.
The entire staff is exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. The entertainment team is equally fantastic—energetic, cheerful, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring guests have a great time.
Cleanliness throughout the resort is outstanding and maintained to a very high standard. The variety of food is simply remarkable, both in the main restaurants and at the outdoor food stands, offering something for every taste.
Security is also excellent, as access to the hotel grounds is restricted exclusively to guests, providing an added sense of comfort and safety.
Anyone who has the opportunity to visit Royal Wings should not miss it. It is an unforgettable destination that delivers an exceptional holiday experience!
They claim this hotel is a 5 star, and even Jet2 list it as 4 star plus. I just wish my examiners at school had been as generous when handing out stars.
The hotel is located on the Lara Beach strip, right in the centre of it.
⭐ Positives
• The lobby and the rooms are modern and well presented.
• The desserts are genuinely outstanding — the strawberry cheesecake deserves a 12 out of 10.
❌ Negatives:
• Severely understaffed: Around the pool areas, getting a drink is a mission. They seem to rely on two waiters on rollerblades, which is frankly embarrassing for a hotel of this size.
• Restaurant staffing: The main restaurant also needs more staff. Service feels stretched and inconsistent.
• Staff attitude & communication: Not all staff speak English, and many are not particularly forthcoming or helpful. Even asking for something simple — like a carrier bag — felt like a major request.
• Food quality: Extremely poor. On at least three occasions in seven days, the chicken was raw. Much of the chicken was fatty, and they seem to add huge amounts of salt to everything.
• Food temperature: Dishes are often cold. Avoid the so called “KFC” — it was stone cold every time.
• Food variety: Very limited. We were genuinely disappointed by the lack of choice.
• A la carte charges: To add insult to injury, they charge extra for the a la carte restaurants. In almost every other 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in (and I visit this area twice a year — this was my 14th trip), a la carte dining is included. This was the first time I’ve seen it charged separately.
• Food Areas/Tents: Are dated, albeit the fresh pizza’s and fresh Pide’s were excellent.
Excellent hotel. clean rooms. all the emplovees are friendly, lots of facilities and activities. The food is excellent, high quality and fresh. The pool was amazing. I especially liked the bars in the hotel. Skv bar. Gossip bar. Piano bar, Patisserie... And a Turkish tent restaurant on the beach. The beach is great. Luna Park and Aqua Park are located in the hotel complex. Great for children (and us adults). I especially want to praise the kindness of all the workers, in the kitchen, at the pool, in restaurants, bars, hygienists... They are all smiling, in a good mood and kind,
Royal Wings Hotel presents a mixed experience, with certain aspects deserving praise, while others raise serious concerns.
On the positive side, the housekeeping staff—particularly the Indonesian women—were exceptionally warm, attentive, and professional. Their willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed and stands out as one of the hotel’s strongest attributes. The hotel itself is clean, spacious, and well-equipped, offering amenities such as a fairground and water slides, which are especially appealing for families. The availability of food huts serving items like pizza, jacket potatoes, doner kebabs, and ice cream is a convenient feature. However, the inconsistent operating hours of these outlets are poorly planned; some closing as early as 3pm is highly impractical, particularly for families with children who may require flexible meal options throughout the day.
Unfortunately, the negative aspects are significant and difficult to overlook. As a Muslim woman who wears a hijab, I experienced what appeared to be dismissive and discriminatory behavior from some of the Turkish male staff. Initially, I considered whether this might be a cultural form of respect directed toward my husband, but repeated incidents suggested otherwise. On multiple occasions, I was overlooked while others—specifically white guests—were served promptly. For example, at the pool, a waiter consistently took orders from other guests while ignoring mine. On another occasion, my order was taken but never delivered, while others received theirs without issue. During breakfast, when seated alone due to caring for my child, staff failed to approach me for even basic service such as drink orders. These patterns of behavior are deeply concerning and cannot be easily dismissed as coincidence.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the hotel’s guest demographic is predominantly Russian and German, which may influence the overall atmosphere and service dynamics.
In summary, while the hotel offers good facilities and has some excellent staff members, the inconsistencies in service and the perceived discriminatory treatment significantly detract from the overall experience.
