We travelled as a family with a toddler and would not recommend this resort for families with young children. The biggest frustration was food. The resort has a baby kitchen, yet when we asked pool bar staff and reception where to find food for our child, nobody was able to point us to it. The baby kitchen turned out to be self-catering only, with poor equipment and large cuts of meat that were impossible to prepare without proper knives. The meal schedule — lunch 12:30–14:00, dinner 19:30–21:00 — leaves a five-hour gap with nothing available, and for an all-inclusive package we'd expect at least some fruit or a snack in between. Beyond food: tables at breakfast were left uncleared, loud music plays throughout the resort all day, and the internet was down for two full days (a safety issue for us as our baby monitor needed a data connection). Mobile signal is also very weak. Maybe because the resort is really far from civilization and without possibility to travel outside on your own. Communication is difficult unless you speak Italian — the one exception being the entertainments team, who were friendly, energetic, and spoke English well. Beach loungers are included but positioned about six rows from the water, making sea access a trek. The animation team were genuinely great — but overall, this resort is not set up for families with young children.
We were here on a family vacation. A very pleasant place. The rooms were clean, cleaned every day. The evening program did not disturb sleep at all. The resort was very clean, beautifully maintained, beautiful. The food was delicious, there could have been more fruit and vegetables. The staff was nice, but with a very low level of English. A translator often had to be used. Drinks were made from quality alcohol, beer was of good quality, coffee was good in Italian style. We missed Italian ice cream. The pool was clean with active supervision by a lifeguard. The beach was clean with a minimum of garbage - here and there a cigarette butt, but compared to other beaches we visited in the past it was really clean. The sea was also clean. The lifeguard station was in several places on the beach and the lifeguard was really dedicated to watching swimmers. Pedal boats, kayaks and paddleboards were included in the price of the stay. The only negative thing about the sea was the frequent occurrence of jellyfish. Although we found on the internet that these should be harmless species for humans, the lifeguards did not touch them either and collected them and then buried them - perhaps ignorance of marine biology? Overall rating: Cleanliness *****, Staff ****, Quality of drinks *****, Peace of sleep *****, Rooms *****, Variety of food ****, Beaches ****, Sports facilities *****. We can recommend it to families with children. The sea is within easy reach, the resort's private beach. Large playground.
Summary: We went there slightly off-season with the available services being slightly scaled down. The stay was absolutely enjoyable, relaxing, fun, simply a joy for the whole family. The shows every evening were really fun, even though I don't speak a lot of Italian, the moderators, dancers really gave it their all! (Thanks to the whole team, Marco and Giuseppe especially) They had a scaled down team compared to the other Bluserena clubs we went to (it's a smaller location), smaller stage, less advanced stage tech and lighting, but their creativity, talent, effort really made up for anything. The heartfelt delivery of the poem by Guiseppe on the life of an "Animatore" at the end of the week really struck a cord. I clapped my hands off :D (being the only German in the club... I had to "represent") The location is less spacious than the other Bluserena clubs, which makes for short walks everywhere (always great with a 4 year old who needs some toys from the room IMMEDIATELY ;) or needs to go to the toilet and only wants to go in the room). It can become crowded if the club is fully booked. The food was excellent, varied, well presented and served by an enthusiastic team who gave their all every evening to give you a good experience. Diligent waiters cleaned the dished constantly. Clean rooms, nice layout. Nothing special, but then... you don't spend a lot of time in the rooms anyway. Location: Not a lot of tourist stuff to do, but main selling point is the club itself, so not a problem. The ocean is absolutely beautiful, SUPER clean, clear water, a nice breeze cooling you under the umbrella at a hot day.
Super relaxing all inclusive holiday with a top animation team! Ricardino has done the most energising aqua fitness and the evening spectacles were most amusing! Truly recommending for a family holiday! You will not be bored for sure!
