The bedrooms were a great size. Only complaint is could be cleaner. Tops never wiped in the two weeks there and the floor looked clean but always had to wipe my feet before putting our shoes on. The staff were nice apart from 'George' as he's liked to be known giving severe rows to bar staff in front of the public Nesim the chef was lovely. I enjoyed various meals and he was happy to show me the recipes.
Amazing holiday love pathos staff are all amazing been here 2 years running now and booked to come back next year. Agatha on reception so friendly and very helpful always polite. Ayushma the waitress very friendly and chatty always welcoming. George the barman very friendly lovely man always chatting with us and making us welcome. Natalie on the tour desk such a lovely lady and so helpful and friendly. Eve the entertainment guy what can i say had us in stiches so funny and genuinely really lovely he makes our evenings especially when he was deborah the funniest thing ever will see you all next year
A great location close to the beach and only a 40 minute walk to Paphos harbour (we did this several times). From entry we were greated with some refreshments and the check in process was smooth. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The bar team couldnt do more for us, the bar manager George, Chet and Gobin ensured we were well looked after. Entertainment was provided by Yves, a dedicated, somewhat cheeky entertainer who provided us with cross bow shooting and water polo. He is fantastic and the hotel is lucky to have him! Breakfast was of ok standard but did not vary much per day. Its our first time in Paphos and we loved our stay here, we will be back!
Avoid this hotel. We booked this hotel through Booking.com. The room looked nice in the pictures, but what we experienced upon arrival was a complete disaster. We arrived late in the evening after a long flight, exhausted and looking forward to getting some rest. Instead, we were met with dirty pillows, a dirty blanket, and an extremely strong, horrible smell throughout the room and the entire hotel. We stayed the night because we were exhausted and it was already very late. In the morning, when we woke up, we were both coughing. We could not sleep properly at all because the room was full of mold and dampness. It was absolutely horrible. We went to reception to ask about the procedure for getting a refund because we wanted to leave immediately. They told us they could not refund the remaining six nights and that we should contact Booking.com. They did not even apologize. The only thing they offered was another room, which was equally bad. The breakfast was also a disaster. The smell was so unpleasant that we could not even eat anything. We left the hotel, and we did not receive a refund. Our advice is to avoid this hotel. This was a very, very bad experience. We came here for a vacation, but instead we experienced a complete nightmare.
One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the food. Every day there was a different cuisine theme, which made every meal interesting and enjoyable. There was a great variety of dishes, so everyone could find something they liked. At the same time, there were always safe and familiar options available for picky eaters, which was a big plus. Special thanks to Chef Emad, whose dedication and talent made the dining experience exceptional. The quality, variety, and taste of the food were outstanding throughout our stay. We truly appreciated the effort put into every meal. The rooms were also excellent – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was amazing: friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel welcome from the very first day. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great food, comfortable accommodation, and outstanding service.
Paphos Castle is located at the western end of the port of Paphos and dates to the mid-13th century. The castle's original structure was built after the earthquake of 1222 destroyed Saranta Kolones, an earlier fortress about 600 metres (2,000 ft) north-east.
