Overall a great stay, food was nice. Our room originally booked was a side sea view, however you could not really see the sea at all! And it was very small. They upgraded us to a suite with full sea view for an extra cost.
Now the really annoying part and the downfall of this hotel is the sunbeds. Certain people reserving large amounts of sunbeds during the night and the life guard allowing it to happen. They were often left for hours before anyone would come back to them, even though a poster in the lift said no reserving before 7am otherwise towels will be removed. This was not the case at all and we witness the lifeguard saving them for people who had passed him money! He was a lovely guy but feel this was unfair. This is something that should definitely be looked at. The hotel grounds are small and evening entertainment was not great.
Drinks next! Unbranded rubbish, baileys not baileys and all curdled.
A Fair 3.5–4/5, Not Quite 5-Star in My Opinion
This is simply my personal review and nothing more, based on my experience during my stay.
Overall, I was a little disappointed because the hotel didn’t quite meet my expectations, especially considering it is marketed as a 5-star hotel. The property itself is quite large and has a lot of potential, but for me, the overall experience felt closer to a 3.5–4-star standard.
One of the main issues was the service. While some staff members were polite, I found the staff generally not as friendly or welcoming as I would expect from a 5-star hotel. There were also a few occasions when I needed assistance and felt that the staff could have been more helpful.
The food was another area that could be improved. There was a decent amount of food available, but the selection felt very repetitive, with almost the same options being served every day. I expected more variety and something different from day to day, especially from a hotel at this level.
The hotel itself is big and has some nice features, but in my opinion, the size of the property alone doesn’t make it a 5-star experience. There are several areas where the service, food variety, and overall attention to guests could be improved.
I’m giving it around 3.5–4/5 based on my personal experience. This is simply an honest review of my stay and nothing else.
The perfect hotel to just turn up and forget about the world around you on the private beach. The pool is quite lively, if you're looking for some tunes in the background. We've been here for nearly a week now and I can't fault the hotel. The staff treat everyone like royalty and our room is nice, clean and cleaned every day. I've only been on a few all inclusive holidays and got bored of the food in a few days. The food here is that good we've only eaten out twice so far. I can't recommend this hotel enough. The entertainment when we weren't out was really good. Our last night was better than the Turkish night wed paid to go and see. Roxy's is next door and definitely worth a visit one night. We're already looking for next year. Make sure you go and see the guys in the shops, They are true to their word.
Back to this hotel after 12 years. Still fabulous. Staff are outstanding. Everyone from Pool Man to cleaners are so helpfull.
Enis in restaurant and Mehmet in pool bar cannot do enough for you.
Entertainment team, Eddie, John, September and Eathan are brilliant. Such good fun and really lovely people also.
Only issue think it could be too busy during peak season with sunbeds around pool. We visited end of April/May so hotel wasn't too busy.
We have just returned from the amazing holiday and will share some experience with those - who are thinking about this hotel.
Rooms - very cozy, and the cleaning staff were making a great job through
all the week, free minibar was filled daily too.
Beach - Casa De Maris have their own beach, we always saw some free beds and staff at the beach are wonderful , life guard is very helpful and always smiling, as for the waiter - he did make sure we hadn’t had to walk for the drinks, big big thanks for that! Couldn’t wish for anything better. Stones on the beach are not too bad since there are “bridges” that help to enter the sea.
Food - since the hotel is not too big, the food taking was super fast and there were always empty tables, food variety is great they have both fish and meat for lunch and dinner and lots of grilled food as well , we enjoyed it. DESERTS were just perfect , these have been best hotel deserts we had and enjoyed them very much, if you are a sweet tooth - this might be a perfect option for you.
Bar - they have variety of drinks and alcohol free drinks available, we liked it.
Staff in the hotel - once again , a big thanks for the beach staff , lifeguard and waiter did a perfect job! The administration was very helpful and information was very clear, the waiters in the restaurant - were not always helpful, we were “forgotten” few times and it was much easier to just bring our own drinks , same situations happened with waiters near the pool - could be better for sure, however a la carte restaurant waiters - big bravo, everything was great.
Animation Team - if you want to participate in the activities, you have to come to them and ask, since the activities are not always on time , but after you come and ask they are very friendly, as for quality of the evenings - we had some mixed feelings , some of them we enjoyed very much , some not soo much , it really depends on what you like. For example if you like bingo with prizes - this hotel has plenty of it, if you enioy singing/listening to the karaoke , then also a big plus for you. For us personally dancing performance - was amazing , we enjoyed watching it so much!
Location - perfect location , there are so many beautiful places around, easy to access the city center, there are minibuses coming all the time that cost 50-55liras (around 1euro) /p.p. , you can also walk by legs , hotel and around area is very clean and beautiful , Marmaris - is very green and outstanding place to visit.
So in overall, we can strongly state, that this hotel deserves 5* , the quality is very good, some of the times service was lacking, but not critical, as for the beach , location , deserts and cleanliness - these were outstanding.
We highly recommend Casa De Maris - thank you for the perfect vacation!
