Das Bayrischzell Familotel Oberbayern

We have just returned to the UK having spent 10 glorious days at this hotel. It was a special trip, as we had booked at short notice following a traumatic last minute cancellation by a different hotel, that had been recommended by our son, his wife and our three grandsons that they had stayed at in 2025. As they were travelling from Canada, we wanted something special for our family get together and we were not disappointed. The hotel whilst being modern is built to a high specification, with good quality furniture, fittings and well planned layout of the rooms and facilities. We found the soundproofing between rooms was of a high standard, and the area was very quiet at night even with windows wide open. All 7 of us were in agreement regarding the quality and variety of meal options, and the service was excellent. I would particularly commend reception staff who were concerned and very helpful providing first aid equipment, bandages etc for our 14 year old grandson who had sustained friction burns on a dry downhill ‘bob sleigh’ run in a neighbouring town. Members of the staff team did their utmost to assist, reflecting the positive attitude of all staff that we encountered during our stay. The area is beautiful, loved the town and local tradespeople, who were helpful and welcoming. Would not hesitate to recommend this family and child friendly hotel! Thanks to all the staff who have been so helpful and attentive. Update: In the midst of packing for 7 people, I managed to leave some items behind near the table tennis area, and didn’t notice until we unpacked in the UK! I subsequently mailed front desk, who shared a DHL link which I duly completed and paid for, and I am hoping to have the items returned to me sometime later this week. What can I say? Aftercare service is first class too!

We had an absolutely top experience at Hotel Das Bayrischzell. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. The food was excellent, with high quality and great variety, and the accommodation was comfortable, stylish, and perfectly maintained. The location is beautiful and ideal for relaxing while enjoying the surrounding nature. What truly made this stay unforgettable, however, was the incredible team. The friendliness, attention to detail, and level of service were simply unmatched. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The warmth and professionalism of the team are of a level you rarely encounter. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would love to return. A big thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience.

Our favorite Family hotel to date. Great atmosphere , incredibly friendly and competent professional management while at the same time pleasantly relaxed . Of special note was Janette from the Spa, who exceeded all expectations as were the trainers and the lady conducting the children‘s outdoor adventure program . Thank you also to the kitchen and servers for always being pleasant and very attentive. We look forward to our next stay.

2 night-stay, first time at the venue, family with a 3 year-old and a 4 month-old baby. Our general impression was: extremely friendly staff, the food at all times was great, Kids-Club staff was very sweet and patient with our shy 3-year-old (who even chose to be with them for lunch time), the entire facility is VERY well taken care to the detail. Every request of ours (we needed a smaller cot than the one prepared before check-in, bedroom was too warm for us at the first night) was heard and fulfilled with a friendly, seemingly genuine smile. They met our expectations and we'll definitely recommend it.

Great location and lots to do for a family with kids! Indoor and outdoor playgrounds, swimming, great gym, hiking trails just outside of the hotel. For the price paid (620EUR per night) food could be much better, like make yourself full and go. Selection of the food quite limited. Little choice of fresh fruit, salads, hot meals. Nothing extraordinary. The sauna was cold at 7 p.m., although it was stated to be open. Soundisolation is not good, could here kids crying like next door.
