We had a genuinely wonderful experience at this hotel.
What stood out most was the effort the staff made to ensure we felt comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay. Everyone was helpful, flexible, and always willing to find a solution, which made a real difference, especially as we were travelling with young children.
A very special mention goes to Mitko — I hope I’m spelling his name correctly — at reception. Our little one had to see a doctor during the holiday, and he kept checking in afterwards to make sure everything was alright. It was a small gesture, perhaps, but one we really appreciated.
The food was plentiful, varied, and very good, with plenty of choice for the whole family.
We were unfortunately let down by our tour operator regarding arrangements for our older daughter, but the hotel staff immediately stepped in and found a way to include her in the mini club. They did far more than they were required to do, and we were extremely grateful.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and we stayed in one of the older rooms that has not yet been refurbished. That would really be our only criticism, and it is clearly something that is already being addressed.
Everything else was excellent. What makes this hotel special is the staff: their kindness, attention, and genuine willingness to help.
A very well-deserved five stars from us.
We stayed at GRIFID Arabella as a family with children, and unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing.
There are definitely some positives. Our room was very large and spacious, with a big balcony and a beautiful view of the pool and the sea. The room was cleaned regularly and the hotel has good facilities for families.
However, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay.
The food was probably our biggest disappointment. There is a reasonable variety, but in our opinion, the food simply wasn't very tasty. The pizza, for example, had a very noticeable margarine-like taste. More importantly, for a family-oriented all-inclusive hotel, we were very surprised by the lack of simple food options for children. During four dinners, we did not see chicken schnitzel, chicken nuggets or even plain chicken breast. There were dishes such as chicken wings and grilled chicken thighs, as well as pasta and pizza, but very few simple protein options that many children will actually eat. Our children ended up relying far too much on pasta and pizza.
The air conditioning in our room was another major problem. It simply did not cool the room sufficiently, which is particularly uncomfortable during the summer.
The room itself was spacious and generally clean, but the maintenance level was disappointing. There were visible signs of wear and damage in different areas, which did not match what we expected from a hotel of this category.
The most concerning issue, however, was safety. Our room was on the fourth floor and had a large window that could be fully opened, with no child-safety lock or opening restrictor that we could see. Travelling with children, we found this genuinely alarming. A family hotel should take this kind of risk very seriously.
Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential: spacious rooms, beautiful views and good facilities. However, the poor dining experience, inadequate air conditioning, maintenance issues and, above all, the safety concern with the window meant that the experience did not meet our expectations.
For a hotel marketed towards families and offering an all-inclusive experience, we expected considerably better.
The experience was really nice! They have amazing foods and service, and I loved how close we were to the beach. The staff was super friendly as well, especially Eva, who I met through a yoga class she asked me to join. I learned a lot about bulgarian culture thanks to her. The activities were diverse and entertaining, I’d recommend booking this hotel for your next vacation!
The Asian staff were extremely friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. The two Bulgarian entertainers also deserve a mention: a lovely young woman who was very involved and especially great with children, and a fit young man who, unfortunately, was quite disappointing.
The overall atmosphere was pleasant, the food was good, and I really have nothing to complain about.
The only downside was that, although around half of the hotel's guests were from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, I didn't see even a single sign, notice, or piece of guidance in Romanian. Adding Romanian translations would greatly improve the experience for many guests.
Vores ophold på dette hotel var fantastisk
1. Værelserne er meget rene
2. Lobbyen og restauranten er fuldstændig renoveret
3. Der er et enormt udvalg af mad af høj kvalitet
4. Stranden ligger 3 minutters gang derfra... man går bare ned ad et par trapper, krydser gaden, og så er man på stranden
5. Personalet var fantastisk og meget hjælpsomt!
Jeg kan ikke anbefale det nok
