We felt excellent, we wanted to stay more, the location is beautiful with easy access to beach, pool, bars, restaurant. A very beautiful park with a lot of trees. It was relaxing. The personnel treated us very well. We had some technical issues in the room but they were promptly addressed. The rooms could be update sometime in the future as the style of the furniture is a bit outdated and used. It fully compensates with all other services offered. Some rooms do not have full view to the sea but it’s because of the vegetation. Rooms should be different advertised and vegetation definitely to remain untouched. I read that someone implied the trees to be cut or trimmed, no way!!! We will come back to the resort!
It’s way overpriced! The hotel literally just opened and was hiring staff every day with zero knowledge and experience requirements. The waiters didn’t even speak and barely understood Bulgarian. The rooms desperately need renovation, no mosquito nets, no cloth dryer, air conditions were not able to cool the small rooms. No ventilation in bathrooms, hot water pressure very low. Food - the worst thing! It was supposed to be all inclusive, however they surprised us with à la card menus for lunch and dinner with dish titles like a chef restaurant but in reality it was not even closed to what it was written. For example “The catch of the day” was Tilapia fish - since when there is Tilapia in Black Sea?! Paella Valencia was white rice with few pieces of chicken breast. Greek Musaka was just musaka with row potatoes and at the top zucchini left from lunch. The list is long. The cook wasn’t even able to make French toast - it was barely topped in eggs and what left today was fried again and served next day - you could brake a tooth with it hard burned. We had to wait 2 hours for every meal we ordered. They said they were overloaded, when just 5 tables out of about 30 were with guests. I spoke with the manager and he explained that they were just starting, the price wasn’t lower though. I asked for compensation for the lost time (we waist literally 4 hours every day waiting for our meals, which is 16 hours for our stay of 4 days), which looks quite fare for me. He only offered us to eat at the hotel nearby, which wasn’t acceptable as we had 2 meals left and have already lost 1/4 of our vacation. Then he offered a massage on the checkout day, which wasn’t acceptable either because there were not slots available. We suggested to reduce the amount we already due for massages we made the previous day which wasn’t accepted by them. And the cherry of the cake was the wedding last night of our stay with loud chalga music until 3am. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It reminded me why I stopped going to BG hotels years ago.
This year Lotus reopened after 3 years of inactivity. They didn't do any renovations, but they reformatted the food. Now there are three meals a day in a wonderful restaurant with amazing dishes. The food is just the bomb. Also free drinks and alcohol all day long. Security on site. The receptionist is amazing Ivayla. I think she is one of the best employees I have ever met here. She is skillfuled in communications, polite and hospitable. The worst is the beach doctor. She sits near the office all day, smokes and talks to other employees. When I needed help today, she was having a private conversation. She yelled at me for disturbing her. Left a complaint at the reception. In my opinion, some of the rooms need to be repainted, but I am happy with the rest.
everything was ok except the bar manager who had a dirty behavior, I asked him for a slice of lemon for the gin and tonic (which contains lemon) and he said it was too expensive considering the hotel is ALL INCLUSIVE. This attitude leaves much to be desired!
