I had an excellent stay at Hotel Bonalba Alicante. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very relaxing — perfect for a peaceful getaway.
The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, and the pool area was absolutely amazing. The food was also very good, with plenty of options and fresh ingredients every day. I especially appreciated the calm atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the property.
Overall, it was a super nice experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Alicante area. I would happily come back again!
We visited during off peak times which meant the hotel was quiet. This was good as sunbathing by the pool was peaceful and never a queue for drinks.
My partner and I were expecting buffet food for all meals of the day (all inclusive), but due to the lack of people opted in for lunch and dinner, the majority of the time there were set meals that our English taste buds didn't like (not their fault, we are super fussy), so we ended up getting bar snacks for dinner which were more like main meals anyway!
There was some confusion on if we were allowed to enter the pool or not, due to there being no lifeguard, but realised people were going in anyway - so managed to use the pool a few times.
Rooms were fine. You don't spend much time in there, so did the job for sleeping, although our bed was very squeaky!
Overall my experience with the hotel staff and facilities were great. Peaceful sunbathing, great cocktails, friendly & helpful staff.
We visited Bonalba Resort in February and walked away really impressed with the whole setup & team. (Big shoutout to Facundo for being such great help)
The course itself is a proper track. It's got a really smart layout that makes you think your way around off the tee, but it’s still fair and a lot of fun even if you don't have your 'A' game with you. The greens were rolling nicely, and you can tell the grounds crew knows exactly what they're doing.
What really makes it, though, is the atmosphere. A lot of golf resorts can feel a bit stiff or overly formal, but the team here is brilliant. They're down to earth, super welcoming, and just made the whole experience effortless from the pro shop to the outdoor food truck at the turn. Plus, the surrounding area is stunning—giving you the perfect backdrop to just relax once the clubs are in the boot.
They are in the middle of some renovations at the moment. It didn’t disrupt our rounds or the trip at all, but it’s obvious they’re investing heavily into upgrading the facility.
We’ve already booked our return trip for October, really looking forward to seeing the new-look at Bonalba Resort. Solid golf, great hotel, great people, definitely worth the trip.
We shot a full highlight video of the course whilst we there, which is on our Youtube channel.
This Hotel is not a 4 star Hotel. It is very dated and in very much need of modernization internally and externally. Rooms are very basic but presentable but with extremely cheap furniture and extremely poor beds and mattresses. The beds squeak alot, doors and walls not sound proofed very well. The curtains are not black out curtains so light passes through alot especially early morning. Everything is functional but much suited and aligned to what you might expect to experience with 2 star or 3 star hotels. I am seriously not trying to be horrible but simply helping others manage expectations.
I dont have any complaints with the staff or anything in general. We never ate once from the hotel because it was not included as part of our package.
Location about 20 min drive to main alicante city. If ylu haven't rented a car you will spend alot on Taxis travelling for basic needs.
I just hope it helps others who may be considering coming to alicante.
Fantastic resort! A lot of fun activities, specially for the kids with the Animacion team. Andrea was one of the English speakers, and very helpful and kind. Easier for us to understand the program with her help.
A calm hotel, away from the crowds and fuzz in the city of Alicante.
Short distance to the Canelobre caves, which I highly recommend to visit.
The food was unfortunately poor, both at the buffet and orders from Al a carte. Mostly influenced by guest who’s there with all-inclusive. Had to wait over 1hr with orders from the kitchen.
Great pool, great activities, great rooms.
