Very polite staff, nothing too much trouble.
Rooms and communal areas kept very clean.
Good choice of food at each meal. The deserts not to my taste but this did not put me off as there was also an ice cream machine.
This is my 4th visit to sunny beach and in my opinion this is the best hotel l have stayed in. My 5 grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the 5 water slides.
The location and facilities exceptional.
Before we went on holiday, I read some of these reviews and I was afraid it was not gonna be okay, but I am glad I was wrong about it. Some people are just extremely pretentious.
When we got there, people at the front desk made our check in immediately (we got there at 1:30 pm and check in is usually at 2:00 pm). Rooms were a little small, but clean, the bathroom had a bath tub and it was good for us as I have a child who is 1 year old, it was easier for me to bath him. The cleaning ladies came every day, gave us clean towels, changed the bin, made our beds. The bed sheets were changed once throughout the 4 nights we spent there but we were okay with that.
We chose all inclusive. The food was good, even my baby had something to eat at every meal (they have a kids menu, we had burgers, nuggets, some blueberry and cheese balls - personally I didn't like that it contained most fried food but you have other choices in the adults menu, like steamed vegetables -broccoli and baby carrots- or grilled - eggplant, peppers and many more). Food was for all tastes, we had something different everyday, just the breakfast was the same. Pancakes were amazing.
The drinks were okay, I mostly drank juice, but my husband tried the alcoholic ones. At the lobby bar they have better rum, but it costs extra.
The pool was amazing, our family had a lot of fun with the water slides. It was a bit crowded, but we expected that as we were there in July, so in the middle of the season.
In the evening, the dj played songs for the kids and they invited them to dance, even adults participated and it was amazing. My baby was just looking at them dancing and singing, he was smiling all the time.
We were happy with our choice, so great job Kuban!
Review of our stay.
Arrived home this morning, from Kuban after an amazing 10 nights stay! The hotel, pools, slides and entertainment are fab!
Rooms: very dated but was just a place to sleep for us. We was on floor 20 woth the best views across sunny beach and Nessebar. Even managed to see the fireworks from nessabar on the 16th Aug. The mattresses do need upgrading as not comfortable at all the springs are shocking. Air con needs upgrading too really. Take noise cancelling earplugs, very loud until 5am from flower street. And the curtains are thin so may need eyemasks. I had the earplugs and slept fine!
Pool, slides and entertainment:
The pools are all very clean, cold but refreshing in the heat. The slides were enjoyed by the teenagers and the big kids 🤣 We loved joining the team dance, Zumba, water gymnastics, yoga and beer pong games.
Evening entertainment:
Mondays are the staff day off which they very much deserve after 6 days of fun, laughter, games, dancing and they are super friendly and just the best. We will miss those guys. Massive shout out to the team and especially Lukas who tried his best to get my 17year old daughter to join in, but she just wasnt having none of it! Think he managed once to get her to do the water gymnastics.
Food:
Typical all inc. Find something for everyone always a mos match meal but was something for everyone each meal time.
The snack bar is brilliant, burger and fries, hotdogs, waffles, donuts, ice-cream, pastries, popcorn, biscuits, little sandwiches. All very nice. The staff are very quick at clearing plates and glasses away.
Reception:
Very approachable, Adam checked us in at 03:30am when we arrived and was lovely each time he saw us asked how the holiday was going. Very friendly guy.
Cleaning:
Our room was cleaned daily, fresh towels and bin emptied, beds made and changed twice during the stay. The hotel is super clean, always cleaners wiping the wet floors constantly cleaning the toilets outside too.
We would return to this hotel for a fun packed stay. Its brilliant for kids even the teenagers have things to do and join in with.
Very run down hotel. The rooms were very old and basic, could do with an overhaul. The lounge bar wasn't as expected, very basic. (Misleading from the online photos) The entertainment was very poor on an evening for children. The pool had loads of sunbeds but most were taken up by towels not people, the slides and pools were quite good. The all inclusive food wasn't great but acceptable. Great location for the beach and bars on an evening. 5 minute walk. Local people here are very rude and ignorant in my opinion. Wouldn't recommend.
While this is advertised as a 4 star hotel the rooms could do with a bit of a refresh. Now in terms of the availability facilities you're not wanting for anything. The common areas are bright, modern and well maintained. The pool and slides are also in good order and there are plenty of life guards on duty. I cannot however recommend the buffet dining experience. I'm not a fussy eater but our party seldom found anything truly to put tastes in the restaurant. We ate out for most meals (except breakfast). This hotel is primarily about it's central location in Sunny Beach. It's smack bang in the middle of the nightlife, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and it's close to the beach.
