We had a wonderful stay at Penelope Beach Hotel and would definitely come back!
The rooms were spotless, and housekeeping did an amazing job. They were cleaned almost every day and were always fresh and comfortable.
The staff were more than kind—always respectful, welcoming, and ready to help with a smile. A special thank you to Robin, Mobwasher, Moustafa, and Redwine (I hope I spelled the names correctly). They were by far the most respectful, friendly, and professional members of the hotel team. They truly made our holiday even more enjoyable and deserve recognition for their outstanding service.
We stayed on the all-inclusive package, and although the food wasn’t extremely diverse, everything we ate was delicious. The meals were tasty, well-cooked, and the portions were satisfying.
The drinks were flavorful, the cocktails were excellent, and there was a great variety to choose from. The coffee was also surprisingly good—rich, aromatic, and perfect at any time of the day.
The swimming pool was very clean, and we could see the staff cleaning it every morning before it opened, which gave us confidence in the hotel’s hygiene standards.
The beach is only a short walk from the hotel, and besides the beach directly in front, there are two more beautiful beaches just about 5 minutes away, one to the left and one to the right.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and highly recommend Penelope Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with excellent service. We would happily stay here again!
Together with my wife and our two sons 10 and 16 y.o.we spent ten days there, end of July and begining of August this year.
Everyone seemed happy.
Near the sea ( only about 100meters.), swimming pool, bar, supermarket just by the hotel and a town center just about seven minutes away on foot.
The hotel itself very clean, friendly and helpful service from the manager and reception area through all other levels responsible for the functioning of this place.
Good and fresh food, the onlyweak point is scrambled eggs, no soups and pancakes, but you can spare yourself.
Good quality drinks served, no need writing about the weather.
Since it is a hotel for families with children, the lack of animation as such is understandable.
The whole island is a great place, it is worth renting a car, because in four days you will see everything plus, and trips can come out less favorably.
We recomend this place :)

We had a wonderful week here and enjoyed a beautiful view of the sea from our room. The beaches are close by, making the hotel ideally located for families. We were completely satisfied with the food, and the staff were very kind and welcoming.
I would especially like to mention Johir, who created some truly lovely and lasting memories for our little daughter through his thoughtful little gestures. I’m sure she will be telling everyone back home in Transylvania all about her experiences! I would also like to mention Robin, who had a wonderful way of connecting with the little ones, while also being genuinely interested. We didn’t catch the name of the head waiter, but his attitude was equally memorable and helped make our little one’s holiday truly special.
The only real downside of the hotel is the housekeeping. The bed linen and towels were not changed at all during our 7-day stay, even though the hotel policy states that they should be changed every three days. Fortunately, we had brought enough of our own things, so this wasn’t a major issue for us. The furnishings are somewhat dated, and the air conditioning tends to get stuck on certain settings, but the location and the overall experience more than make up for these shortcomings.
Overall, we had an unforgettable 7-day stay and would happily recommend this hotel, especially to families.
Great place to stay! The location is amazing, with lots of beautiful little beaches nearby. The staff were absolutely lovely- always friendly, welcoming and very helpful.
Everything was cleaned daily and kept very tidy throughout our stay. We especially loved the accommodation itself- the rooms felt more like little two-storey houses, which gave us plenty of space, privacy and freedom. It felt much more relaxed and comfortable than staying in a typical hotel room.
We had a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend this place! 😊
We had a wonderful stay at Penelope, a three-star hotel in Pernera, just a short drive from Protaras. It turned out to be the perfect location for our holiday. Although we also visited Ayia Napa and Protaras, we were very happy to stay in the quieter surroundings of Pernera rather than in the busy hotel areas.
We chose the all-inclusive package, and it was excellent value for money. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were included, together with local spirits, wine, and beer. The food consisted mainly of European dishes, but everything was fresh, tasty, and well prepared every day. The bar was open from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., serving drinks throughout the day, and it was also possible to order additional food.
The highlight of our stay was the staff. They were mainly from Cyprus and Bangladesh, and every member of the team was polite, friendly, and genuinely kind. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel at home and created such a welcoming atmosphere that we truly felt cared for throughout our stay.
The location was another big advantage. There were beautiful coastal paths nearby that were perfect for walking or running, and the local beaches were peaceful and much less crowded than the famous beaches around Ayia Napa. We visited Nissi Beach, but personally preferred the beaches near Pernera, as Nissi Beach was very busy, there was a lot of seaweed, and loud music was playing. If you’re looking for a more relaxing experience, the beaches around Pernera are a great choice.
The perfect ending to our holiday came on the last day, when we were lucky enough to spot dolphins from the small beach closest to the hotel. Although it is a relatively small beach, it is beautiful and ideal for families with children. Watching the dolphins swimming not far from the shore and occasionally leaping out of the water was an unforgettable experience and a wonderful way to end our stay.
The only suggestions we would make are quite minor. While the breakfasts were always fresh and tasty, the selection was very similar every morning, so a little more variety would make them even better. Housekeeping was offered daily, but the staff often came during our children’s nap time, so it wasn’t always convenient to have the room cleaned. It would be helpful if, in such situations, they could at least provide fresh towels and replace the bed linen if needed. We think this small adjustment would make the experience even more comfortable for families with young children.
Overall, Penelope exceeded our expectations. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.
