Overall, if I had to draw a line between the positives and the negatives, the hotel has many strengths. The location is beautiful, the beach is clean with soft sand and warm, crystal-clear water, and the rooms are spotless and very well maintained. The food is excellent, with a great variety of fish, different kinds of meat, fresh vegetables, fruits, and delicious desserts. Everything related to the facilities, cleanliness, organization, and atmosphere deserves high praise.
Unfortunately, what left the strongest impression on me was the attitude of some of the staff. In my experience, the female employees were kind, polite, and welcoming, while several male employees appeared irritated and unfriendly.
The most disappointing situation happened during dinner. We had booked a half-board package (breakfast and dinner) without realizing that drinks such as coffee were not included. There was no clear restriction or warning near the coffee machine, so naturally I took a coffee. Instead of politely explaining the policy, I was told that I had to pay extra. It was an uncomfortable and embarrassing experience that unfortunately overshadowed many of the positive aspects of our stay.
There were also a few other situations where the information provided by the staff was unclear or inconsistent, leaving us unsure whether we were being properly informed or simply encouraged to spend more money.
This hotel has wonderful facilities and great potential, but I believe that better communication and a friendlier, more respectful attitude from all staff members would make a significant difference to the guest experience.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing stay! The hotel is clean, beautiful and in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Stella at reception, she was so kind, welcoming and professional. She truly made our stay even better. Highly recommended! 10/10 ❤️
We had an amazing stay at Sandy Beach Hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surrounding area.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel was impressive.
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from. The atmosphere was peaceful, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxing vacation.
What really stood out was the outstanding service and the genuine effort to make every guest feel comfortable and valued.
We highly recommend Sandy Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful and memorable holiday experience. We will definitely be coming back.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special!
Our stay as a couple with a baby was overall pleasant. The hotel grounds are beautiful with a great swimming pool and access to the beach, which was the highlight. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
The room was fine, clean and comfy but not luxury if that's what you're looking for. Small touches could have made a big difference. The food was the biggest disappointment for us unfortunately... Breakfast was fresh but made for the masses. Think baked beans and powdered scrambled eggs. Fruit wasn't cut and arranged, no assortment of Greek pastries... Just a very regular if not below average continental breakfast. The restaurants surrounding the hotel were really old school with very disappointing dishes so you didn't really have much choice but to eat dinner and lunch at the hotel too. We ordered from the hotel restaurant for one dinner- the food was really not more than "fine". So this was a disappointment.
There is also no poolside service, guests have to order at the bar and collect themselves.
For what we paid- it was all perfectly adequate but certainly wouldn't say it's a luxury location or resort. Just a reasonable, family oriented hotel on the beach. Great for people looking for something simple and uncomplicated.
Stayed on a half-board basis. Overall experience was mixed.
Food was consistently good with good variety and quality! The hotel has a private beach with sunbeds included, and a nice pool areas. The reception area is spacious, rooms are of a good size and partially renovated. Housekeeping is generally good. There is also a convenient public bus connection from the airport directly to the hotel.
However, the main issue throughout the stay was poor communication and inconsistent information. At check-in, very little practical information was provided, and even after asking, some details were incorrect or unclear. Dinner locations changed without notice, which caused confusion. Another example, that weekend we stayed there was a wedding celebration in the hotel, which nobody said anything to us.
Service overall felt indifferent rather than welcoming. Staff were not rude, but interactions often lacked engagement or basic hospitality warmth, exception of some staff which were clearly more customer friendly.
There are also several operational issues. WiFi in the room was unstable and frequently dropped, making it unreliable. Sound insulation is average. Drinks policy at dinner was also very poorly communicated, leading to confusion regarding what was allowed or not, as in the Dinner service unless you have All inclusive, NOTHING is included even water, I couldn't drink even my own, I had to dry eat, even though we asked the first night, we didn't received proper information.
Rooms include basic amenities like a kettle but lack others such as slippers. Curtains do not fully block out morning light.
In summary, the hotel has good potential due to its food and facilities, but is significantly held back by weak communication, inconsistent service, and noticeable comfort issues such as noise and WiFi stability.
