Spent 2 wonderful weeks at Side Star Elegance and we were impressed with the hotel, spotless pool areas and fantastic slides and so much to do for kids and adults.
The food in the main restaurant was varied and mostly very good and we enjoyed the Chinese, Turkish and Italian Al la carte restaurants.
The pool restaurants and snack bars are excellent for lunch with so much choice.
A huge thanks to the amazing animation team (especially Victoria, Sefa and Ozam) who do an amazing job entertaining guests day and night. We especially loved the pool party with dancers, a DJ and floaters and the White party.
We also loved the beach right beside the hotel and walking in to the old town of Side, it’s just beautiful.
We’ll definitely be back!
A fantastic holiday, all the staff were pleasant and had a smile for you. The entertainment were brilliant (Ozan,Sefa, Selim) always made you feel welcome. The location, being right on the beach is something that made our mind up to go there, and we was not disappointed.
Would go back to this hotel tomorrow.
Myself and my family have just come back from a 10 night stay here and heres our review as a family, the good and not so good bits,
The not so good,
Air con in rooms is like having a mouse blowing at you. You can leave it on in the day when you go out and it does chill the room. Just leave a key in the slot.
The beds where not the comfiest (compared to other places we've stayed in Turkey)
Breakfast can be very repetitive.
If you want a sun lounger be prepared to get up early. Especially by the main pool. I went down at 6am thinking I was early. Trust me people are down there way before. The main pool is extremely busy.
The WiFi is very hit and miss. The only place we found a reliable-ish place was near reception.
The shower room was more of a wet room and flooded the whole toilet and shower floor area.
The good bits,
Food and drinks are a plenty 24/7 bottled beers from selected bars, premium spirits. Cocktail list was sufficient.
We found the pool and beach bar (the 1 nearest the beach anyway) the best places to go for lunch. There is plenty of places to eat from lunchtime onwards with good verity.
The staff work very hard at all the bars a restaurants. The cleaning staff are brilliant throughout the hotel.
The location is ideal, the beach is gorgeous and in the evening its a beautiful walk into Side. There are plenty of shops and really nice restaurants all within a 15 min walk of the hotel.
Would we come back? Possibly.
We have had a fantastic stay at Side Star Elegance Hotel and would highly recommend it to families.
The food throughout our stay was excellent, with plenty of choice and consistently high quality. The rooms were spotless, and both the hotel grounds and gardens were beautifully maintained, creating a lovely environment to relax in.
A special mention must go to the Mini Club, which was absolutely fantastic. Our son loved attending every day and looked forward to all the activities, beach trips, and picnics that were organised. The team put so much effort into making the children's experience fun, engaging, and memorable.
The lovely ladies who ran the Mini Disco were especially wonderful with our son. He adored them and would always say hello and wave to them throughout the day. They were incredibly warm, friendly, and always took the time to interact with him, which made his holiday even more special.
Thank you to all the staff for making our family holiday such an enjoyable and memorable experience. We would happily return in the future.
Honest review based on our family experience here this year (July 2026). Our 1st visit to Turkey and this hotel.
THE ROOMS.
We stayed in the family apartment, which is spread across 2 floors. Rooms were clean, but did lack general maintence. Simple issues like towel hooks falling off the door, main door not shutting properly which required slamming repeatedly, noisy air-con, the full height mirror wardrobe door fell off runners onto my daugter, thankfully she caught it, but if it was my youngest daughter it could have been a serious inccident. But the rooms overall were nice, well presented, clean and the free mini bars were stocked up daily.
THE STAFF.
Very friendly and polite. They put alot of energy into making the stay as fun and as good as possible.
THE RESORT.
Many pools, bars and restaurants. Food was good and varied. Private beech area with easily accessible watersports. Lots of stairs!!! The resort is spread across many floors with lifts available (but the lifts are small so there is alot of waiting for an empty during the busy times of day). It is abit of a maze and takes a few days to figure it out.
Shops, arcades, activities, bowling, cinema, kids club, hairdressers all on site.
COSTS.
Things are quite fairly priced. But bring lots of cash for what I believe is the customary 'service tips' for the staff! It adds up quick, although I don't think it is compulsory. We did tip well and alot as the service was great.
A family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) over the week, we spent 15,000 Turkish Lira on site, which I think is about £230gbp which included excursions, tips, photos, hair braiding, little treats from the shops and ciggarettes. Which I thought was very reasonable.
EXCURSIONS.
I recommend if you are bringing children to go out on the pirate ships! The kids had a fantastic time. Filled with pirate activities, foam party, swimming in the sea, fun and games and food included. It reached 43° 🥵, but we still managed to have a fantastic day.
About 30 min walk into Side Old Town. Great to go and see the old ruins, but the shops there were an experience. Vendors welcome you into the store to view their goods, very polite unless you decline. Then some were rude and abusive. One man decided to spit at my 11 year old daughter after she said no thank you to some perfume, which put a dampner or the rest of the day and holiday. Just be aware if shopping in Side Old Town.
SUMMARY.
Overall, fantastic. The hotel was good, the food good, staff good. We have had a brilliant holiday. I would definatley recommend staying here. I wouldn't class it as a 5 star hotel, it is missing that little bit extra for me personally, but easily a good solid 4 star and well worth a visit.

Manavgat Waterfall on the Manavgat River is near the city of Side, 3 km (2 mi) north of Manavgat, Turkey. Its high flow over a wide area as it falls from a low height is best viewed from a high altitude. The white, foaming water of the Manavgat Waterfalls flows powerfully over the rocks.
