Valtur Calabria Otium Resort

As a UK tourist, do not book this hotel. Went with TUI on AI and receive FB. Hotel website description says FB too but we saw this whilst complaining. Its an Italian holiday club and we were 2 English guests out if 1000. You cant book trips with TUI from here either and they fail to tell you the above information before you book. Cups so pathetically small, 166ml which only get filled about three quarters so you need 3 or 4 each to have a proper drink. Could only have soft drinks or beer. Wine at meal times only as an alternative. Don't like either. Complete wasted holiday as was stuck there for 10 days. Couldn't booked trips as they don't pick you up from the hotel. Brilliant!!!! Hotel clean and rooms clean. Food ok, brawl though to get food. Not a pleasent experience. This is definitely not an ideal visit for uk guests. Experienced travellers here, got it wrong big time booking this and that's down to TUI not being honest in description.

Great resort! We were a part f a large group that visited right before the Summer season in May. Very nice facilities for family vacation although the pool was freezing and beach was still cold. The staff were pleasant and the after parties for kids were also good, the DJ did well exciting the children with music and karaoke. We enjoyed canoeing and using the volleyball facilities. We participated in the gymnastics offered by the resort. It was fun! The food was ok for some but not to our liking. Overall, it was a pleasant weekend stay.

The place is really beautiful and the service is great, only the cots are so uncomfortable that they make you prefer the chairs. The restaurant gives you always a lot of first class choices.

good position (near the sea) and a very good buffet (always variable). a very relaxing jurney. the entertainment always present and nice.

Worth going, for the pool, staff and the rooms.
