**6/10 — A FLY IN THE CAKE. And that’s not even the biggest disappointment.** Yes, literally — we found a fly in a piece of cake at the Italian restaurant. The staff apologized, and we have no personal complaints about the waitress, but for a hotel proudly advertised as **“BEST 4 STAR HOTEL IN BULGARIA FOR 2025”**, it certainly leaves an impression. The hotel itself is clean, renovated and well maintained. Our room was spacious, housekeeping was excellent, the AC worked perfectly and the soundproofing was very good. However, comfort was disappointing. The pillows were extremely hard, the two-part mattress kept sliding apart, creating a nightly gap in the middle of the bed. We also had two single duvets instead of one double — and one of them actually ended up being used as a pillow. Food was the biggest disappointment. The main restaurant had a limited and repetitive selection with queues. The Italian restaurant was almost the same food: disappointing carbonara, Caesar salad with Chinese cabbage instead of romaine, and over-fried chicken. The Asian restaurant was somewhat better, although the sushi could be improved. The beach is genuinely good, with free sun loungers usually available in the morning. The beach bar staff were fast and polite. Overall, the hotel is decent, but **very overhyped**. After reading so many positive reviews and seeing the “BEST 4 STAR HOTEL” title, our expectations were much higher than the reality. **Overall: 6/10. Good beach and cleanliness, but definitely not what we expected from the “BEST 4★ HOTEL IN BULGARIA”.**
Personally it was the best hotel I’ve been to. The food here was the best among the other hotels like in Turkey. The gym is pretty nice. Especially I liked the animation crew, because they are so open to every person I saw here. I liked how they performanced every day, and they were well prepared every time. I recommend this hotel.
I would like to thank Astoria hotel for an amazing stay. It was my third time here! Such a great experience! It's the perfect spot for comfort and relaxation. Private beach with own restaurant and a bar. Staff was kind and cooperative. The main restaurant was just great till each small detail. Welcome food court for those coming late at night. Free luggage room after check-out which you can use multiple times - such a great idea! You can keep your all inclusive bracelet after check-out so you can drink and eat before your trip back home. Props for new coffee machines and improving cleaning service. Decaf coffee in your menu is a lifesaver! Room: Spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. However, it lacked basic amenities such as a kettle, coffee, or tea. Sometimes, during evenings there was a bad smell from the bathroom. It didn't come from our bathroom though. Italian Restaurant: 9/10 – Delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. Great quality salmon. Asian Restaurant: 10/10 – Tasty and well-presented dishes. Excellent sea food and tom yum soup! Main Buffet Restaurant: 11/10 – Great variety and quality. Nicely done fish, beef and lamb! Food's like in a 5-star hotel! A special shoutout to the Chef!! Nice bartenders everythere trying to provide the best quality of service (thank you Maksim and Dmitry!) Now time for the "buts": 1) Please make a non-smoking area on the beach and forbid smoking on balconies! For the whole stay we were able to stay on the balcony for less than 15 minutes! We couldn't breathe in our room because of an air lack. On the beach we had to team up with other people and create our own non-smoking area in order to prevent ourselves from the constant smoke. Everywhere smokers! Like a plague! I came here to relax and breathe fresh air, not other people's nicotine breaths. Disgusting and unhealthy! 2) Please clean your private beach. There was a lot of cigarette butts and glass. 3) Your new all inclusive bracelets are so biodegradable that they could't hold more than 2 days. I had to get new ones for a couple of times. Overall, the hotel policy is to give everything in order to let you enjoy. I loved it. The location is great. I highly recommend Astoria!

First of all, I would like to express great respect for the people who manage this place, because it's certainly not an easy task. After reading both the positive and negative reviews, I can say that this hotel definitely evokes mixed emotions. The positives are the varied food, the three nice restaurants, and that's about it. However, after staying here for 10 days, you realize that the food becomes quite repetitive. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner are practically the same every day, with the only real difference being the desserts and pastries. The soft drinks are branded as Coca-Cola, but are they really? The juices from the dispensers taste completely different from the bottled Cappy juices. As for the cocktails, all the flavored syrups are non-alcoholic. Why? The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there are no problems when you need assistance. The hotel itself feels enormous. Fortunately, most guests spend their time at the beach, so the swimming pools are not too crowded. There is something for everyone: a 0.5 m children's pool, a swimming pool for laps, and a 1.4 m recreational pool. For families with children, I strongly recommend bringing water shoes because the beach is partly covered with pebbles and many shells. There is also a strip of shells when entering the sea. The rooms are clean, although even when we left the "Please clean the room" sign on the door, the housekeeping was barely noticeable. The beds were made and the bathroom mirror was wiped, but the sand brought back from the beach remained in the shower because there was no practical way to rinse it away. During our 10-day stay, the shower gel was hardly ever refilled, and it seemed that nobody was checking these supplies. Overall, despite the few issues mentioned above, I think this hotel is a good choice for a family holiday with children. The good weather certainly had a big influence on our overall experience. Although the hotel offers entertainment activities, in my opinion they are only average. Most of them take place in the morning and afternoon, with a short children's disco at 8:00 p.m. There is no option to leave your children in the Kids Club for more than two hours. Also, despite the posted opening hours, they are not respected. Sometimes the staff member arrives late, and other times the Kids Club closes earlier than scheduled.
