We had the most wonderful experience at the Banks Mansion in Amsterdam. My husband and two adult children stayed there and we truly could not have had a better experience. The hotel staff were so very kind. Suzanna was there in the morning to greet us with a fresh made omelet for breakfast with a lovely smile. Lucia was there to help recommend the perfect local restaurant. Thank you for the perfect memories in Amsterdam
Great location - Right next to canal, walking to photo locations like love lock, 7 bridges. Rembrandt square (great evening vibes). Great service - clean non-smoking rooms, such a great staff from reception to housekeeping to Kitchen staff. Can’t beat the inclusive breakfast (loved the croissants, pancakes, fresh orange juice, coffee), open bar - all day any drinks, daily wine and cheese - great for socializing. And to top the daily Dutch cookies or candies for the sweet tooth. Cannot say enough about the hotel, the hospitality and the experience.
Awesome hotel that has a great location, friendly staff and wonderful all inclusive amenities. They have a great complimentary breakfast. In the evenings, they offer a complementary wine & cheese bar along with an open bar. They also have a refrigerator in the hotel room which has free drinks. I love that the hotel is next to the river. All in all, a great stay.
I can't say enough about this hotel and it's concept. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. They have a free self-serve bar, which is open to you 24/7, as well as free waters, soft drinks, and mixers. There is also a free minibar/fridge in the room. The included breakfast is wonderful - mix of small pastries, yogurt, bacon everyday, and cook to order eggs, omelette, French toast, and pancakes. There is a different snack in the lobby daily, and a cheese hour. The rooms are adequate in size, clean, in good repair, with modern bathrooms, although the rooms are not exceptional. Hotel decor is slightly quirky, but very nice. Lobby is a defacto meeting area at happy hour and into the early evening for guests to make a drink and chat. We arrived early and our rooms weren't ready, but after asking, for a reasonable early check-in cost, front desk staff was able to give us rooms. I was happy to pay to check in early , because we were jet lagged. They upgraded my room to a canal view room, which I appreciated, but, to be honest, after being in Amsterdam, I wouldn't pay extra for one. In most places, the canals just aren't very picturesque. The hotel is centrally located and a ten minute or less walk to museums, boat cruises, shopping, flower market, etc.. So it's a very good location. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Banks Mansion and would absolutely stay there again if given the opportunity and back in town.
We enjoyed this hotel so much. From Susanna in the breakfast area remembering our special needs every morning to the front desk staff making us custom cheese plates each night, this place is incredible. Great location too. Highly recommend.
