A very nice hotel in a central location. The breakfast deserves special mention. It had everything you could wish for. We hardly used the lunch snacks, as we always took advantage of the many activities in Bodenmais and the surrounding area with the Aktiv-Card. It was wonderful to enjoy the swimming pool, sauna, and then a freshly tapped beer after returning (all included!). We're not usually buffet people, but because it was so nicely presented and we had a reserved table, it was very pleasant. In short: we'll be back!
We spent two nights here and were very satisfied. Even though the hotel doesn't advertise itself as a spa hotel, the pool and sauna facilities are fantastic. The room was very clean. The only downside was that the bathroom drain sometimes had an unpleasant odor.
We found the food excellent, especially the selection.
We would love to come back again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Berglässig in Bodenmais and felt completely at ease. We would particularly like to highlight the buffet-style food and drinks – everything was very pleasant, varied, and we loved it.
The pool area, sauna, and sunbathing lawn were first-class and contributed perfectly to our relaxation. All the staff were also very friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times.
The hotel is also an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours in the Bavarian Forest. For us, it was the perfect blend of relaxation, indulgence, and an active vacation.
We would definitely recommend Hotel Berglässig and would love to return.
We stayed at the hotel for a few days in April 2026. The rooms were clean, however, we lacked a table and chair to, for example, play games together. We had to go to the restaurant for that.
The food was always served buffet-style.
The quality and selection were excellent.
The cheese platter was very appealing.
There was also a sufficient selection of drinks available for self-service.
The reception was well-staffed and answered all our questions and fulfilled our requests efficiently.
The swimming pool is relatively large and was always clean. The temperature was fine.
The hotel is highly recommended.
