Overall, the hotel is okay, but unfortunately it is the worst all-inclusive resort I've ever stayed at. The biggest disappointment was the entertainment. It is almost non-existent, and when there is something happening, it is mostly in German. The whole hotel feels like it is designed only for German guests, while everyone else is an afterthought. There is no visible activity schedule, no pool games, no aqua gym, no Zumba, no family activities, and very little for children. For the price we paid, we expected much more. The hotel is also not stroller-friendly. There are stairs everywhere, and in many places there is no practical alternative, which makes moving around with a baby very inconvenient. The food is okay, but nothing special. Dinner finishes far too early at 9:00 pm, and staff start packing everything away well before closing. Around 8:40 pm I went to get some sauce, and an employee removed it right in front of me before I could use it. By around 8:30-8:40 pm there were already no glasses available in some areas because everything was being cleared away. Another issue was hygiene: the baby high chairs were not cleaned between lunch and dinner. The drinks are also very disappointing. The cocktails included in the all-inclusive package are poor, and if you want something decent, you have to pay extra. We came with high expectations because this was not a cheap holiday, but unfortunately those expectations were completely destroyed. I wouldn't choose this hotel again.
We booked the hotel based on its positive reviews, especially because of the highly praised sports program. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The average age of the guests was over 60, and it was clear that most were not there for an active holiday. The sports offerings were extremely limited, and many of the scheduled activities didn’t take place at all (for example, beach volleyball). No real fitness activities. Bike tours and hikes were almost exclusively subject to additional charges and seemed more like trips for seniors. The wellness area did exist, but none of its services were included in the all-inclusive package. The animation team was barely present and appeared to have given up on organizing any active events with the guests – which was very disappointing. On the positive side, both the hotel grounds and the rooms were well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, during the cleaning of our room, the floor wasn’t even swept. The beach is separated from the hotel by a public promenade, but still very close. During peak season, it might be difficult to find a spot, but at the end of September it was still manageable. The food was very good and diverse. I especially want to highlight that the kitchen really made an effort to offer plenty of delicious vegetarian dishes. Thanks for that! Overall, the hotel is fine, but its name promises more than it actually delivers. This led to false expectations and ultimately disappointment. In our opinion, the hotel should position itself as a quiet relaxation resort for an older audience and update the information on its website accordingly.
Congrats, You guys got me. This place is labeled as an "all inclusive" but, many things are not. They nickle and dime you for the smallest commodities like a bath robe or extra pillow, thats free at your local super 8. They start you off with this weird card system with poolside towls that if you lose the flimsy paper card you'll owe 20 euro. Want to enjoy a beverage from your room with drinks provided from the mini fridge? A coke starts at 4.5 euros. Food options are limited here and the drinks, even more. If you want any kind of standard cocktail outside of the drought beer, house red, or white wine that comes out of the spigot, you'll need to pay for that also. Food is comparable to your standard all you can eat buffet. The staff were mostly young adults who served us with a "I'd rather be anywhere else" attitude. The wife and I booked this place for a nice relaxing already paid trip, but compared to all inclusive stays in Mexico and Central America for the similar price, this place doesn't even come close. I almost forgot about the German techno music that played right outside our room every night til 11pm. That was nice. Bol, and the island were amazing though.
We spent a family holiday in this hotel for the second time. Despite a little bit small rooms everything was acceptable except one thing. Ignorant guests (not every guest of course). The worst thing which is hotel management responsible is that every public rest spot in the hotel is a smoking area with ashtrays everywhere. Guests are smoking even during moderated mini disco for kids - this is unacceptable! You cannot escape it, kids swimming pool, pool bar, other bar, sunbeds, outdoor dinner tables. Another habit of the guests is to occupy all sunbeds early in the morning with towels. I was told there is a guy responsible for collecting towels from unused sunbeds but we never saw him doing that. Both problems should be addressed by proper management - or state that this is a smoking friendly hotel and you need to fight for the sunbeds.
I‘ve been there as a child and I still miss it. It was the best vacation and I wanna go back.
