Very disappointing experience at Chata Orlik pod Pecem. The price (700 PLN / 4,000 CZK per night) is completely unreasonable for a place that feels like an old mountain hostel rather than a hotel and for this price you get shared bathrooms (!) Wellness and sauna are supposedly included in the price, but due to the staff’s poor organization, we lost our sauna reservation. We were informed on site that our booking was for a different hour, even though we were never sent any confirmation by email and received no written confirmation at check-in. There is no proper system in place to verify reservations. Instead of solving the issue professionally, the staff member tried to blame us and was rude, offering no compensation at all. This was not our first stay here, which makes the disappointment even bigger. Sadly, the service quality has clearly gone down. Paying this much and not even being able to use the sauna makes the price absurd. Definitely not worth it.
The best was service and food - it was very delicious even there was one menu but it is more benefit because quality of food was better than in some expensive branding hotels. One hour of sauna is not much but it did great rest after hiking. Service is very good, spending Christmas there was much better than expected. The room was small and clean, no problem for me because the most of time I was on hiking. Local dog and cat added charm to this place. And yes, the view was amazing. The way to hotel is quite hard but this is not guilty of hotel - the road is town department's property - but you will get calm vibe and relax because there werent a lot of people.
We had an amazing experience at Chata Orlik during August 2025. The rooms were small but clean, well maintained with attached washrooms. Ms. Zaneta was very helpful. The all inclusive food and drinks package was sufficient for us, and we enjoyed our stay!

I really appreciate the time I had spent here. The service was excellent. The view unforgettable. They even prepare food separately for the vegans or vegetarians. Food was really delicious. If I would live in Czech Republic I would come back to this place for the holidays all the time. You also can come to stay at this place with your pets.
