Just stayed at the Doric hotel. Two adults, a three year old and a baby. •Room - overall the rooms are very basic, dusty in places and had a few hairs in the bath and limescale stain in the toilet. Bed was ok, hard mattress though. Spacious room, dressing area and long mirror. Tv with free view and some condiments. Was fine. •service - reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast staff so lovely, for £30 we had choice of full English, eggs on toast, porridge and help your self to cereals, fruit, juices etc. it was tasty and decent for the price. Staff didn’t give any information about the pool access, but found our way. •location - was out the way slightly, very close tram access though but a quite area and that’s what we’d prefer. •facilities - nice indoor pool, hot tub & steam room. Night time entertainment. Two really negative parts: •we requested a cot bed for our baby, and the person who delivered to the room used their key and uncooked the door our son was naked and he wasn’t told the room was occupied he was apologetic but really inappropriate. The travel cot I was given was possibly one of the dirtiest things I’ve ever seen in my life. I used my daughter’s pram for her to sleep in for the two nights. Pictures added
We stayed at the Doric Hotel for one night and overall had a good stay. The hotel is easy to find, right beside the sea. We didn’t get a sea‑view room, just a back room on the second floor with a not‑so‑pretty view of the walls, but the room itself was a good size and looked refreshed — definitely more updated than the corridors and stairs. There was good size bathroom with fresh towels and tea and coffee corner. There was no fridge in the room . The hotel has two pools, indoor and outdoor. We used the outdoor one, which also had a bar (really cool bar with drinks, ice creams, food) and a sauna. I do wish the place was a bit cleaner, but we still enjoyed the day, and the weather was super hot, which made everything better. Because it was such a nice day, we could stay in the pool until 18:00. There’s also evening entertainment for both adults and kids. The reception area and dining room look like they’ve had some renovation work done too. We added breakfast for £20 for the three of us. It was basic — porridge, cereal, and a full English(one egg, one sausage, 2 bacon slices, one black pudding slice and bit of beans ) not the greatest, but it was fine, and we got tea, coffee, and toast included. They also take £50 holding deposit in case of any damage. So yes, overall we had a good stay.Fr the price we paid it was good hotel.
We recently spent 2 nights here as a family of four (2 children), the staff were all lovely, rooms were nice and clean. Pool was lovely and warm and well maintained. Food was delicious and plenty of choice. Would highly recommend and we will be returning.
Our family stayed for one night, room was nice and recently refurbished. Food was great. Facilities were good but not the cleanest. Not bad location tram stop right outside. Only let down was the bed, roack hard and we didnt sleep well at all. Had a good stay apart from the beds. Good value for money. We went half board.
Brilliant hotel. Down for 3 days and the staff are all absolutely brilliant. Ian from the restaurant was so kind and attentive the full time. I’d especially like to give a special mention to Dylan on reception. I had a few minor issues that had nothing to do with the hotel and he helped on more than 1 occasion. I tried to catch him before I left to personally thank him but I think the last day must have been his day off. The last member of staff I’d like to thank is the cleaner but sadly I didn’t get her name. She was on the fourth floor if that helps. Kind and polite the full time. Hotel was clean and trendy. Beds were great. Bath in the room which I always love. The food was always quick enough but possibly the only thing I’d mark the hotel down for. Plenty of options and fresh but the quality was lacking for me sadly. If I’m back at Blackpool again it will be to this hotel. 10 minutes away from the main attractions but the tram stop is right outside the hotel.
