We had an absolutely incredible stay at Alua Sunny Beach Resort & Spa! The property is massive, beautifully landscaped, and incredibly green—it honestly felt like walking through a private park every single day. Our room, the My Favorite Club Suite, was perfect. It was super spacious, spotless, and with great design, offering a really comfortable stay for us. One of the biggest highlights for us was the dining. While the main buffet is great, the themed à la carte restaurants are a absolute must-try! Having so many different cuisines and unique atmospheres to choose from made our evenings feel really special. The Ultra All Inclusive program here is top-notch, and the staff in the restaurants and throughout the resort were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The beach is clean, spacious, and has plenty of sun loungers, and the sea is absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!
Lovely hotel. Good food and lots of choices. Rooms are lovely and clean and has everything you need. Mini fridge not stocked up throughout stay just complimentary drinks on arrival but you can stock as needed yourself. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk to the main bit of sunny beach so it's quiet which we liked. The pools are definitely not an issue like everyone makes out on here 🤣. They're cold but you can certainly swim in them... We have just returned (end of May) and the kids went in the pools everyday. I went in 3 days that were hotter to cool down. There are five pools and they're great. The kids loved the children's pool and slides. Staff aren't always the happiest but they are working round the clock and help when needed. Entertainment was like anywhere else really, nothing to write home about but did the job. My 8 year olds review; "It was amazing, the slides were great, we had such a nice time, definitely visit ✨." My 7 year olds review; "I liked the ice-cream" 🤣🤣
I cannot believe how many negative reviews there is, I was apprehensive about coming and had low expectations after reading it all. The food is amazing!!!!! I like Mediterranean food, so if you like mezze style food then you will love it!! All the staff have been very lovely to me, the reception team were all very friendly, Veronika on the front desk is very helpful and pleasant. Victoria in the spa is also very lovely and welcoming. My room is very big, I am so content in this space. I would absolutely return!!!! Infact I plan too as soon as possible.
The hotel and its facilities were excellent. There were plenty of great attractions and activities for children. The selection of food and drinks was extensive, and the food itself was very tasty. The biggest issue, however, was the overcrowding during breakfast and dinner, as both meals were served only in the main restaurant. Lunch was available at three different locations, which helped spread the guests out. Breakfast and dinner, on the other hand, were a nightmare. There were too many people, not enough seating, and long queues everywhere. The staff simply couldn’t keep up with clearing dirty dishes and preparing tables for new guests. The hotel should consider introducing staggered meal times so that not all guests arrive at the restaurant at the same time.
An impressive resort that gets a lot of things right. The architecture and buildings are stunning, the gardens and outdoor areas are beautiful, and the views are outstanding. If you can, book a room with a frontal sea view on a higher floor — the panorama over the entire bay is simply breathtaking. Our room was clean on arrival, nicely decorated, cozy and comfortable. Food-wise it’s a mixed picture. Breakfasts were excellent. We also really enjoyed the cold cuts and starters section. Main meals have decent selection but they lack ambition and variety — most things come straight from the grill or frying pan without much culinary creativity. The sweet section also didn’t vary much throughout our stay. On the plus side, ice cream is available during main meals, the lobby bar serves quality drinks with a solid cocktail selection, and the coffee at Coco Cafe is genuinely really good. The main downside is cleanliness — and it’s hard to ignore. Our room was visited daily but housekeeping was barely doing anything beyond replacing towels and occasionally mopping the bathroom floor (we had to request forgotten towels and toilet paper). Outdoors was worse. Restaurant terraces weren’t cleaned regularly, leaving seagulls fighting over leftover food. The poolside public toilets were almost never properly cleaned — bad smells, no paper, and visible human “dirt”accumulating over days. Outdoor terrace tables would sit with used glasses and dishes for extended periods. Sun beds around the pool were another casualty of the poor cleaning routine — regularly soiled by seagulls and left unattended for long periods. Many umbrellas would be in a horrible state and 9 out of 10 would miss the needle to keep it open. Another issue were the staff - majority unmotivated young servers, who didn’t really care to provide good service. The life guards were just sitting together on their phones, not caring many things around might need their attention. It’s a shame because with better management and elevated cleaning standards this would be a top notch place. Despite that, we had a wonderful stay overall and would absolutely recommend it.
