Wow! What an incredible stay at the Elounda Breeze! We stayed for a week with our 5year old and 7month old and had the most amazing stay! The views and the architecture are stunning - yes there are a few little hills but if you don't want the walk to take in the Cretan landscapes then there are always carts driven by the most welcoming friendly drivers to take you the very short distance to the restaurant. The food is fabulous - the Staff were incredibly helpful, especially Elisabeta at the main restaurant and Roberd at the Grill! There was a gourmet to choose from - so many authentic Greek dishes, local cuisines and evenings dedicated to international foods. The waiting Staff were absolutely outstanding - particularly Athina who made our little girl feel so special every morning! Ervis who always met us with a smile and couldn't do enough - and the two who made our baby boy smile and laugh the entire time - Georgia and Linda! Linda has the most bubbly, beautiful personality, she engages with the children in such a genuine and heartfelt way, she makes sure you feel like family! She absolutely made our holiday and we couldn't stop smiling with her! I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough - it is a very family orientated place; the pools, the slides, the food, the entertainment - it made our holiday an unforgettable experience. The Tui Entertainment team, particularly Indie, Moana and Amy ensured our daughter couldn't take her eyes off the stage - whether that be a show about Princes & Princesses with a modern twist or a Decades show she (and us!) could sing and dance along to! Although there was such a wonderful, busy atmosphere, there was still an ambiance of peace, relaxation and effortlessness. This unique balance, the phenomenal location, and the Staff make this hotel somewhere you don't want to leave, and we will definitely be back for more relaxation, smiles, dancing and welcoming faces! Thankyou all so much for making our family holiday the most magical time!
A big disappointment.... Giving this two stars purely on the basis of the staff and the views. The staff are amazing from the kids entertainers, waiters and lifeguards. The hotel is on a steep hill which can be difficult if you have mobility issues / stroller etc but with that it has amazing picturesque views. That's unfortunately where the positives end. The main issue with this hotel is the food. The food is absolutely vile. I'm sorry but there is no excuse for such a poor selection of lukewarm slop. Every single day the same foods of cold cut pastas and stewed pork dishes would be served. The quality was extremely poor, and food was often stale and obviously sitting out for long periods. The main restaurant had a lot of flies which poses hygiene issues and the food was never piping hot. The snack bar felt unhygienic, again a lot of flies with food left uncovered for long periods. Some people at this bar were also were served chicken that was still raw and pink inside. Both my husband and my toddler got quite poorly and several days were spoilt with bad sickness and diarrhoea. I stayed at this hotel whilst being pregnant and due to the hygiene and general food safety concerns we ended up having to eat out in Elounda a lot which ended up adding hundreds in cost to our holiday.
Aside from the food, the general cleanliness needs to be improved. Pool areas were not cleaned regularly and sunbeds were often sticky and stained. The kids pool and splash park also really requires repair and maintenance. The pathway to the "beach" is not kept with broken barbed wire fences and generally not safe. The beach area wasn't kept very well, and looked really run down and dirty and the bar wasn't open either. Overall we were hugely let down and disappointed and glad to return home. We picked tui blue for peace of mind, but I would strongly advise people to sadly avoid this hotel. I've also seen many other reviews recently that say the same but have been mysteriously removed...
We stayed for 7 nights with our 3 year old son and are really looking forward to going back next year.
The staff make this hotel. They were brilliant. Sula on the quiet bar was lovely all week, as were all of the staff in the restaurant, the lifeguards and the bar staff.
The entertainment team were amazing, especially Caitlin who was really kind to our son who isn't always the best at joining in.
People moan in their reviews about the food but I honestly couldn't fault it. There was a good variety, it was mostly actually very good quality and was always hot and tasty. The waiters were lovely to our son too. The views are also incredible from the restaurant
My criticisms are; the sun loungers are quite uncomfortable, the splash park needs a bit of fixing up and the amphitheatre for the entertainment isn't ideal for young kids
Stacey & her team at Tui blue elounda breeze gave us an amazing experience here they were enthusiastic & gave us lots of info. The place had amazing views, lots to do entertainment was a variety especially for kids, we were well informed on what trips were available and they were great and travel there and back was well organised for us no stress. Large selection of lovely food & drink. Surrounding towns great for shopping & eating/drinking. Rooms were cleaned regularly. I had a massage with the lovely lady in the spa it was wonderful. We would definitely come back
Spinalonga (Greek: Σπιναλόγκα) is an island in the Gulf of Elounda, north-eastern Crete, in the municipality of Agios Nikolaos, Lasithi, next to the town of Plaka in the area of Kalydon. It is near the Spinalonga peninsula ("large Spinalonga") – which often causes confusion as the same name is used for both. The island was maintained as a fortress for centuries under Venetian rule.
Psychro Cave (Greek: Σπήλαιο Ψυχρού) is an ancient Minoan sacred cave in the Lasithi plateau in the Lasithi district of eastern Crete. Around the beginning of 20th century, several scholars identified Psychro with Dikte, a name used by some ancient authors to refer to the location of Zeus's upbringing. Multiple subsequent scholars have disagreed with this theory; Mieke Prent, writing in 2005, desc

Gournia (Greek: Γουρνιά) is the site of a Minoan palace complex in the Lasithi regional unit on the island of Crete, Greece. Its modern name originated from the many stone troughs that are at the site and its original name for the site is unknown. It was first permanently inhabited during the Early Minoan II periods (approximately between 2650 and 2100 B.C.E) and was occupied until the Late Minoan
