Beautifully renovated rooms. Clean and well maintained. Dining area is still in old condition but functional. Pools are clean and big enough. 2 pools with thermal water, different temperatures, 1 normal outside. I liked outdoor pool best. Breakfast was good. Good selection of everything. Lunch very poor, I had an impression that some dishes were leftovers from day before or dinner. Dinner is a bit better but for a 4 star hotel I expected more selection and different types of food. All inclusive covers only wines, not liquor, that was also disappointing. 4/5 because of food and not enough and slow elevators!!!

We arrived to a carpark where cars were double parked & it was impossible to find a space, the front had been roped off & planters moved to make it impossible to pull up outside the front door & unload. The rear of the hotel had also been cordoned off so you could not turn around & had to reverse all the way back! The staff tried to be helpful, pointing out it was possible to park up the hill in a side street for free. This was what we did but we did it reluctantly as we would have preferred to be in the hotel carpark. The hotel carpark is basically only going to serves less than 20% of hotel guests. Next, the advert for the hotel & their photos ,they have somehow made the swimming pools seem massive when in fact they are tiny. The outside of the hotel needs completely renewing its tired & lacks any style. The checkin staff are really nice & I have no complaints. Meanwhile the barman shouldn’t be anywhere near a bar. He’s possibly the most miserable man I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. The rooms are as to be expected refurbished and typical of many hotels & ive no complaints. The food in the restaurant is pretty good lots of choice and the staff are quick to clean away empty plates.the coffee is also very good. The all inclusive is a little deceiving. First there is a station outside where red, white & rose wine are left in ice cold sleeves for you to poor into your own paper or festival cups! There is no service at all. Personally I find this very poor. It might suit some but for me I might as well bring my own wine of a better standard & ignore the all inclusive As to the spa it’s overrun with people. Everything closes at 10pm & when I say everything I mean you get locked out. Literally you might be sat in the grounds of the hotel & then it’s impossible to use any of the doors to get back in the hotel. You are forced to climb the stairs & then walk around the rear of the hotel until you reach the front door to get back into the hotel this angered me more than all the other inconveniences my Auntie is 92 years old & had to climb the stairs & walk all the way around the hotel. Whoever is in charge of this hotel is small minded & incapable of empathising with the clients. If I was offered a free night in this hotel I wouldn’t take it. As I write I have three more nights & although the food has been good & the rooms are ok I could never recommend it. If you are running a hotel you need to continuously look through the eyes of a guest. The conservatory glass roof has never been cleaned. The mosquitos & wasps are everywhere. There are all sorts of ways to rid yourself of both & yet they have done nothing. It is nothing more than apathy on the part of the hotel. It’s a third rate hotel with an apathetic hotel manager. We are spending more than £2K and I for one will not return. The lifts are programmed to stop whether someone wants to go up or down so when it’s busy you stop on every floor. There are just two lifts servicing a very busy hotel. It is rare I leave such a poor revue but the only saving grace is an amazing chief who with his staff must work very hard to maintain a decent consistent presentation of good food. Ok since leaving this review the bar staff has changed, the new staff are excellent & my family had an enjoyable evening paying for spirits late into the evening what a difference good staff make. Also the live entertainment was pretty good. I notice work is being done on the conservatory windows to clean them.

I have been visiting your hotel for a long time, once or twice a year. I am sorry that a visitor who books a stay for the first time has a better promotional price than a guest who uses the hotel more often and is, for example, a Bronze loyalty member. I do not consider this fair. The hotel and the services are fine and I am happy to return.

We stayed 3 nights at Ensana Thermal Aqua with an all-inclusive package. The rooms, restaurant and the whole hotel are very clean, the food is tasty and varied, and the staff are friendly. However, the all-inclusive is organized so that you basically pay for 3 days and get about 2.66 – check-in from 3 p.m. (snack after lunch), check-out by 11 a.m. (breakfast only), which leaves the impression that the service is not fairly structured. We also had a safety issue with the kettle, which was leaking and caused a short circuit, and the pool that was announced (booking.com) as closed from January 5th was already closed on January 4th. When we arrived on Saturday, the crowd was almost unbearable (elevators, restaurant, pools, saunas), so instead of a relaxing wellness break you get a feeling of mass tourism. Because of all this, we would not return for now

The hotel looks nice from the inside, the wellness area is enjoyable with multiple pools and saunas, and the room itself was clean and cozy with a comfortable bed. The all-inclusive drinks are pretty great. These aspects met our expectations. Unfortunately, the dining experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel’s website advertises “a wide range of healthy, low-fat, and low-calorie dishes,” but this was far from reality. The main courses mainly consisted of fried chicken, French fries, rice, oily Asian-style noodles, and pork wrapped in bacon, with very little flavor overall. Even more concerning, some fruits served were either rotten or extremely underripe. The ice creams had extremely artificial flavors and were of very poor quality. This was unacceptable and did not reflect the standard promised online. I have also never experienced such a level of inflexibility in a hotel before: - We were not allowed to use the spa facilities after checking out, which is unusual both in Hungary and internationally, even in better quality hotels. - Early check-in (even slightly before 3 pm) was not possible because the room was “not ready,” yet we were told that for an additional €40–50 per person, a room would suddenly be available. - While the hotel is very strict with guests regarding timing, the all-inclusive drink service closed at 10:45 pm instead of the advertised 11:00 pm. - Lunch should be part of an all-inclusive experience in general. However, guests staying only one night are excluded from lunch and can only access it for an additional fee. The massage prices are incredibely high, they aren’t worth the price at all. Overall, the hotel gives the impression that genuine comfort is only accessible by paying extra fees. An additional note: this hotel hosts many international guests. While the optional, free services (such as the sauna programs and live music) were super enjoyable, it felt unprofessional that the programs were not introduced in English or German, and that the performers were unable to sing any non-Hungarian songs correctly (only in gibberish). In summary, while the hotel has potential and some good points, the food quality and rigid policies significantly detract from the overall experience.
