We had a good stay at Ensana Thermia Palace, stayed in a room with a terrace to the garden and also we could see the river, the view was green and nice. The hotel located on the SPA island, parking is free around the hotel, there is a a bridge connecting the hotel to the city and its a 5-10min walk, very nice and very easy. The reception is very nice and they have very attentive attitude. The room was good and clean with good bathroom facilities, bed was comfy and we slept good. No coffee machine in the room, you get robe & slippers for using the spa facilities. The breakfast was very good and had a rich selections of everything you want, fresh juice, fresh bakery & nice selection of cheese , vegetables , and also tasty deserts. You can order an omelet so you can use the breakfast menu plus the buffet, we enjoyed the breakfast and we give it a high rate. There is an outdoor pool which looks great in the green garden, we enjoyed it very much and the cleanness around was fantastic, mostly couples and not families with kids so the atmosphere is quite nice and romantic that you can enjoy. The SPA area is very clean and modern , has a nice stream pool and also a nice swimming indoor pool that has also strong jets and it was a very good experience, you can order a nice drink and prices are fair. there are also few sauna rooms wet and dry and the sauna complex is very clean and the facilities are modern. there are cold drink water bar so you can fill up your bottle and enjoy. There is a safe in the room. Overall the combination of the hotel room, its location surrounded with green and its great spa make it a good place for a relaxing romantic vacation with great breakfast. There are nice gardens around and for those who like to have a walk there are plenty of walking ways near the hotel on the SPA island. there is air condition in the room and it was useful during our stay in hot days of early July. if you coming to Piestany and looking for a hotel to stay, this is the one great hotel to stay in.
We are leaving Ensana Thermia Palace now. Have mixed emotions. We visited hotel 7 years ago and were looking forward to celebrate my birthday with such a beautiful memory from the last visit. It was just a memory. The hotel is not the same and certainly not 5*. It was disappointing from the start with our first dinner. Could not find clean table or set table. Containers for food were half empty. Breakfast next day made me nearly cry. No eggs, fresh salads, limited fruit and not very nice coffee. Some of the waiters were rude. The whole restaurant is badly organised and nobody work in team there. Guests were coming and looking where to sit. Manager did not help to overworked staff. Our room 126 needs shower head replacement. Jacuzzi smelled of mould. Thermal pool missing tiles, but I have to say, pools were our favourite. We truly enjoyed both. Nobody noticed my birthday yesterday. That was also for the first time in 5* hotel. Ensana Thermia Palace hotel was the only hotel from Ensana chain we visited and it will be the last one.
Good stay at Ensana Thermia Palace. The wellness area is modern and really good, it was my favourite area of the hotel. Food was good, although it could have been better, considering the rating of the hotel. The room was comfortable, we didn’t get a view, but there was a small terrace with outdoor seating. The thing that needs to be improved the most is the service. Definitely does not meet 5 star standards, and the organisation in the restaurant needs to be looked into. I also had a treatment, but it wasn’t done with great care or attention. Generally a pleasant hotel. The management is very responsive to comments but the staff don’t seem to follow. The town itself doesn’t offer much and it’s a flashback to the 90s.
Our initial experience with the service was disappointing. The staff were not particularly friendly and rarely greeted us. Our room was not cleaned properly—we found hair in the bathtub, spider webs, and dust and dirt in the corners. The breakfast and half-board buffet offered a rather limited selection. We also had to pour our own coffee, which felt unusual for a 5-star hotel. But the biggest disappointment was one evening when we waited 40 minutes for a dessert. Despite repeatedly trying to get the attention of the waiters, no one acknowledged us or seemed interested in serving us. That level of service was simply unacceptable and was the main reason for my initial negative review. However, after my review was published, the hotel manager contacted us the very next morning to better understand our experience. We appreciated that they took our feedback seriously and listened carefully to everything we had to say. What impressed us was that we noticed positive changes during the remainder of our stay. The staff became noticeably friendlier, greeting us and even smiling. Whether this was due to different personnel or because management acted on our feedback, I cannot say, but the atmosphere improved significantly. The hotel also made a genuine effort to make up for our disappointing experience. They kindly offered us complimentary treatments at the Irma Spa, asked whether we would like to extend our stay, and although we couldn't stay another night, they arranged a late checkout, which we greatly appreciated. As a farewell gesture, we also received traditional Piešťany waffles at checkout, which was a thoughtful local touch. While I still believe the hotel has room for improvement in delivering the level of service expected from a 5-star property, particularly in the breakfast and dinner restaurant, I also believe it's important to acknowledge when a hotel responds professionally to criticism. In our case, the management genuinely cared, acted on our feedback, and made a sincere effort to improve our experience. We left with a much more positive impression than we had at the beginning of our stay, and I hope these improvements continue for future guests.
Great experience! Thermal pool outdoors is a highlight, no chemicals just thermal water. Food in hotel was also delicious and the atmosphere in hotel is a palace-like. Rooms are spacious and very fancy. We were family of 4 with two children and we all loved it.
