Evripides Village is located in Kardamena, right on the beach. This 84-room hotel boasts sea and mountain views, as well as a garden terrace.
For beach-loving families
With family rooms and a children's pool, it is ideal for families. You can also enjoy the private beach, try out the diving school or play a game of tennis.
Excellent hotel with a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. The cleanliness and attention to detail are outstanding. A lovely place that makes you feel welcome from the very first moment.
Congratulations to the management and the entire team at Euripides Hotel in Kos!
Highly recommended!
The hotel is really old and poorly maintained. Staff is not really friendly, you have to talk to them a lot to get them do something for you. The pool feels unsafe in terms of water quality, but is monitored every day.
Rooms: old, poorly cleaned (under the bed is like a dust bin). Several things were already broken or broke down during our stay. The bed was awful, suited for only the fattest of people (who are plenty in the hotel).
Personnel: not really friendly and willing to talk to you. Owner shouting to the personnel when something went wrong.
Food: terrible, it's medium warm at most, french fries just defrosted. But hey, we did not get sick. I think they keep the leftovers for next day and forget to warm it up.
Location: that's the only big plus if you like a good, quiet sleep. It's somewhat in the middle of nowhere. So the amount of drunk English people disturbing your night is kept to a minimum. But therefore not suited for people who'd like to be in short distance of the Kardamena party scene.
Our stay in your hotel was a lovely experience. Had a great time during our vacation. Service was great as you would expect from Greece. The restaurant had quite a variety of meals to choose from. All fresh and tasty. Our room had everything needed to relax after the whole day. Comfortable beds, spacious bedroom, beautiful view from the balcony overlooking Dikeos mountain.
I truly appreciate the stay especially in a family runned hotel in which you aren't just another guest.
Efharistome poli!
We had a wonderful family stay at this hotel! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, especially families. We would be happy to come back again!
Stayed there 4th-11th Aug 2026.
Owner Denise, was the star of the show. Very kind and very helpful. Denise recommended places to visit and advised of a very good car rental place.
Pros:
-Attentive owner, Denise.
-Nice small hotel.
-Lovely pool with plenty of always available sunlounges.
-Although dated, the rooms were spotless clean.
-Rooms cleaned daily.
-2 miles to Kardamena where are all the shops and restaurants.
-Lovely attentive staff at the restaurant.
Cons:
-Food was the worst I have had anywhere. Lots of processed food, bread is not fresh, one type of cheese in breakfast that didn't taste nice. Overall, you can tell it was cheap food ingredients. Kids were living on chips. We had to eat out few days. But I think this is what you get at a 3 stars hotel. Although, Fruits and salads were nice.
-The owner, Nikos, tried to charge me tax of €10 per night per room whilst my booking states €5 per night per room. He claimed that the hotel is officially a 4 stars whilst it is stated clearly in my booking and on the website as 3 stars.
-Nearby beach is rocky and not good for swimming.
-Although Kardamena is close, 2 miles, you can't walk in the heat and realistically you need to rent a car to get about.
-AC was not powerful enough to cool the room during the day.
-We arrived late at night with 4 little kids. The receptionist didn't find our booking but, he found us 2 rooms until the morning which was kind however, we were not offered even a bottle of water.
Verdict:
Lovely stay, spoiled by the hotel food and Nikos approach to the tax.
I wouldn't mind going again but only as self catering as the food is not worth the money.
