Just got back. Here’s my honest review.
Someone mentioned miserable bar staff. Most were okay. Youngish guy, blonde almost spiked up dry hair, European looking was rude. Didn’t want to be there and made it very clear. The young guy with short brown hair, tall olive skin Guy, girl, Asian guy - all really nice and friendly. Just that one guy was miserable. Half the vodka in every pour was on the bar grill rather than the glass.
Food was okay but few times we found hair. Even in the ice cream!!! When mentioned to staff they didn’t seem too phased. Fine. Whatever. Just watch what you eat.
Grace in the restaurant was honestly the best in the whole park. She always made an effort with us and kids and was genuinely pleasant and made us feel welcome.
Rooms were nice. Housekeeping clearly folded up old towels and tried passing as new. Drinks refreshed every two days which was good. Ac works well. No usb connection so don’t bother bringing usb or fire sticks. Not in our room.
Chinese and Greek restaurants were below average.
The pool guy at the top of the slides was great as well. He was very friendly and made effort.
Soft drinks were syrupy and not nice. Orange was the bearable one.
Ice cream also very chemically but settled on strawberry being the most stomach-able.
On the whole. Nice trip. 10 days is excessive. You’ll be good with 5. We booked a boat trip which got cancelled due to wind. Aquarium was decent but done within an hour.
Really fantastic holiday park. The pools are well looked after and food is fresh. If you enjoy a snack bar then you'll be happy too. Gyros, pizza etc are regularly cooked and nothing is really left sitting for hours. Main buffet has a good variety and is heat checked with digital thermometers very often.
It's a small site by comparison with others but I fully recommend.
Overall, the resort is beautiful, with great pools and excellent water parks. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
However, the food was disappointing – limited variety, not very tasty, and often not fresh. Restaurant reservations were unavailable even when attempting to book several days in advance. Children's entertainment was repetitive, with the same activities every evening. Room cleanliness was below expectations, with bathroom cleanliness requiring improvement.
In summary, while the facilities are excellent, the food, entertainment, and housekeeping services need significant improvement.
This is a great family hotel. Lots of water slides for all ages and so many pools. The rooms are set over a large area and we were in a quiet room 5000 block. Our room was spacious and clean and serviced each day, my only complaint would be there was not many places to hang the towels and storage space was limited. A safe was in our room and free to use. The air conditioning worked well too. A small ball with table and chairs too. A mini bar in our room was filled every other day with bottled water and some small bottles of fizzy drinks at no extra charge.
The buffet restaurant would suit anyone so much choice and all very freshly made a credit to them considering the amount of people there are. We did go to both Greek and Asian restaurants too both good but the Greek set menu is by far too much food although it was nice feel there was just too much waste. The Asian restaurant was absolutely fantastic.
The snack bars served pizza, garlic bread, burgers, gyros and chips all good. Soft drinks were all very sweet but we like water so no problem there. Cocktails were ok too.
We also had a massage in the Spa even my 5yr old granddaughter who totally enjoyed it, we were looked after by Moi, Marry and Almpora who were each amazing.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. All in all a great family holiday.
We recently stayed at the Gouves Water Park Holiday Resort and overall had a good experience. The resort is primarily geared towards families with children, making it a very lively environment if you are traveling with kids.
The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and pleasant throughout our stay. The location is also quite convenient—about a 5-minute walk to the beach and roughly a 10-minute walk to the center.
When it comes to dining, there is a very wide and impressive variety of food options available at meals. However, the overall quality of the food is only average and not very high. Additionally, during housekeeping, the bedsheets were not changed, and the bathroom was not cleaned properly.
Despite these minor drawbacks, considering the price, it is an excellent value for money and a solid choice if you are looking for an affordable family getaway.
