A fantastic family stay and somewhere we would happily return to next year.
We had a wonderful family stay at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora and overall felt it fully deserved five stars.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the grounds and pools are excellent, and there is a really good choice of places to eat and drink throughout the resort. The food was consistently very good, with the Asian restaurant a particular highlight for us. The variety across the restaurants also meant it never felt repetitive.
Poolside service was excellent and made a big difference during the day. We felt very well looked after, and the Guest Experience team were particularly impressive. The level of care, follow-up and personal attention made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the stay.
For a hotel of this size and quality, the only areas I would improve are fairly small ones.
Restaurant service could sometimes be more consistent, even though the food itself was very good. And Meliá genuinely needs to invest in about a thousand teaspoons, because finding one for coffee or tea at breakfast became a strangely regular challenge!
For families, I also think the hotel would benefit from having a proper larger waterslide in or around the main pool area for older children, as well as another ice cream point elsewhere around the resort so everything is not concentrated in one place.
Those are relatively minor points though.
Overall, the hotel offers a great combination of quality, choice, service and atmosphere. We felt very welcome, there was plenty for the whole family to enjoy, and compared with other hotels of a similar standard we felt it represented reasonable value.
We would absolutely return!!
This was out first time experience in the resort because we are more adventurous travelers, and we chose this resort from the serie showed on Netflix. It was another adventure for us and surprisingly interesting experience.
We had a wonderful stay at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora from the first minute til the last and thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days there and around Tenerife.
The resort is beautiful, with great facilities, spacious rooms, stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. I already recommended this resort to couple of friends and they were interested in adult only option 😀, that is something quite considerable. Even though we didn't experience any noise or disturbance during our stay; all guests were quiet and educated people and that makes a lot too.
What made our visit truly memorable was the outstanding hospitality, professionalism and genuine kindness of all staff who made us feel so well looked after. I used to work in hospitality myself and know how hard, demanding and draining this job can be.
We received an exceptional service from everyone, and I do apologise I didn't catch every single name but here are some I did:
Manuel from reception
Leny from Spa
Antonio consignier
Ariela, Kelly hostesses
Fernanda (animator?)
Beatriz G, Colombian waiter (Rayan?), Carlos, Oswaldo, Mari, from restaurants and bars
Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic experience. We will happily return and highly recommend this hotel.
❤️
The hotel’s location is unbeatable: the sea, the pleasant temperature, and the proximity to all amenities create a true sense of relaxation. This is perfectly complemented by the outstanding facilities: spacious corridors, lifts and staircases, magnificent rooms with excellent bathrooms, parking, swimming pools, gardens, the “Mar de Nubes”, and a carefully chosen palette of soft colours that gives the entire hotel an atmosphere of complete tranquillity.
Another aspect we greatly appreciated was the presence of a Catholic church just a stone’s throw from the hotel. This was particularly important to us, as it meant we were also able to feel spiritually cared for during our stay.
In addition, it is clear that there is thoughtful leadership and a dedicated team behind everything, ensuring that every detail is maintained to the highest standard. At least for us, the experience was simply ideal.
Without a doubt, one of the hotel’s greatest strengths is the kindness of the staff, especially the Red Level and Red Level for Families team. We would particularly like to mention Naomi, Andrea, Rosana, Claudia, Fabiola, Lupe, Roberta, and many others whose names we unfortunately cannot recall, for their constant willingness to help and their exceptional service throughout our stay.
Another major highlight for us was how well the hotel caters to all types of guests. We travelled as a family of two adults and one baby, and throughout our stay we felt we had our own safe and comfortable space, while other guests clearly enjoyed theirs as well. We were able to enjoy both the children’s area and a couple of relaxing hours in the adults-only area while our daughter attended the Kids Club, where Maya and Paula were both delightful and highly professional.
In summary, we achieved exactly what we had hoped for: a truly restful family holiday. Each of us was able to enjoy our favourite part of the hotel, while also sharing the experience together in a calm atmosphere and feeling wonderfully cared for in a magnificent hotel that clearly reflects the exceptional team behind it.
We have stayed in many resorts over the years, but what truly makes a place memorable is its people. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the entire staff, who were exceptional from the moment we arrived until our departure.
A special thank you goes to Aurelia and Daniela, whose kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made our stay even more enjoyable. They are a true credit to the resort. Every member of the team we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile.
As for the resort itself, it is fair to say that some parts of the interior feel a little dated, which is understandable considering the property opened in 2008 and has seen relatively few major renovations. However, this is more than compensated for by everything else the resort offers.
The exterior areas are absolutely stunning. The infinity pool is spectacular, the ocean views are breathtaking, and the promenade behind the resort creates a truly unique atmosphere. Walking along the seafront, interacting with local residents, and enjoying the nearby beach made us feel connected to the real Tenerife rather than being isolated in a tourist bubble.
The combination of the Atlantic Ocean, the beautiful surroundings, outstanding service, and the warm hospitality of the staff created an unforgettable experience. We leave with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future.
Thank you to Aurelia, Daniela, and the entire team for making our stay so special.
A fantastic experience at Hotel Palacio de Isora. From the very first moment, the beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities and friendly staff made our stay truly enjoyable. A spectacular hotel that we would definitely recommend.
I would especially like to mention the Oasis Restaurant, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The food, atmosphere and, above all, the service made every visit a wonderful experience.
A special mention goes to Beatriz Vega and Erika, who looked after us wonderfully throughout our stay. They were extremely friendly, professional, attentive and welcoming, always making sure that everything was perfect. Their kindness and warm approach really make a difference and make you feel at home.
Many thanks to the entire Hotel Palacio de Isora team, and especially to Beatriz Vega and Erika, for making our experience even more special. We will definitely be back!
