Definitely skip this hotel if you’re under 40!
This was supposed to be a special engagement trip, but staying here turned it into a total disaster. Check-in started off well with champagne and friendly staff, but it went downhill fast.
The ground-floor rooms smelled like sewage. The pillows were way too high, and when I called reception because of my neck pain, she just said there was nothing they could do until morning. When I explained I was in pain and couldn't sleep, she said it wasn't her problem and hung up on me.
There was no music at the pool until a Spanish group arrived for two days and the bar only played their music, then it went silent again once they left.
Staff kept taking our towels off our loungers if we put them out before 10, even though regulars did whatever they wanted. We were down there by 9, sat until 9:30, and then left for breakfast before it closed at 10, only to have our towels removed, which is ridiculous.
Getting drinks at night is a nightmare because they’re short-staffed and the stressed-out workers aren't very nice, so it takes 30-45 minutes to get a drink since it’s table service only.
The breakfast food was decent, but we avoided the hotel as much as we could after that. The managers are rude and couldn't care less about helping.
Great stay. Best food we have had. Only issue was checked out at 12md and not getting picked up till 6pm and not offered any food.
Staff, in general, were lovely. Particularly, cleaning staff. Maribel did our room most days and was spotless.
Great choice of which pool to sit at too and plenty of entertainment.
Would recommend.
This is our 2nd visit to the gran tinerfe, we had another wonderful stay!! Will definitely be returning :)
FOOD & DRINKS
Plenty of choice including fresh meat, fish, veg… English food night was brill, as was the Chinese. Beach restaurant for a dining service at lunch is always lovely overlooking the sea. Drinks are spot on, good selection of spirits and bottled mixers (no flat coke like some chains). Didn’t do privilege as don’t see the point. We didn’t do the à la cartes this time around so can’t comment, as prefer to eat out a few times too.
ROOMS
We upgraded again and our room was really spacious, with good views and close to the pool. Modern and cleaned (thanks to our lovely cleaner Jennifer!).
LOCATION
Close to centre of Las Americas and Adeje, great location if you like walking as can go both ways. Lots of bars/rests around the hotel and up the road, entertainment, close to the waterpark, shops, etc.
Note - we stayed in Playa Paraiso last October and regretted it as not much going on outside the hotel, walks not as nice either.
TEAM
The team are fantastic, every body was so pleasant and friendly, which helped to make our stay perfect. Hotel entertainment was great too. Special thanks to David (bar), Julian (best pool bar guy), Yadary (waitress). Thank you again for a brilliant stay!
Unforgettable stay, outstanding customer service!
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in H10 Gran Tinerfe hotel and everything was perfect. Amazing ocean view, beautiful sunset, spotless room, delicious food and outstanding customer service. We booked a Privilege room and we don’t regret, the Privilege areas are amazing, it is clearly making the difference. Staff members are very helpful, polite and they are all happy to make your stay unforgettable. Our room was nice decorated by Sandra, many thanks for making our special day, so memorable. We also received a special gift for our anniversary, thank you so much, we really appreciated. Hugo is amazing!!! He perfectly knows how to do his job and he loves to do it. For him is nothing impossible, he is the best in customer service. He made our stay memorable and for sure we will be back to this hotel because of him. We will recomand this flawless hotel to everyone. Many thanks everyone!
Had an excellent stay at the H10 Gran Tinerfe and will 100% return. This is in a great location, has amazing staff, is spotlessly clean and just a lovely, classy place to stay.
There is a rear entrance which takes you straight out onto the promenade and the beach, and inside the hotel are 3 big pools, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, a pool bar and a really lovely coffee shop.
Our room was lovely, and kept clean by the really hard-working housekeeping staff.
The food here is also great, and eating out on the terrace is highly recommended, as you can watch sunrise at breakfast and sunset at your evening meal which is really stunning.
Overall the hotel and the wonderful staff made this holiday really special and I would highly recommend.
