I can't recommend it enough - the hotel and the surrounding area are amazing! We are a family with three kids (2, 4, and 8 yo) and this was our first stay at this hotel. The nature around it, the views, the outdoor playgrounds and all the other facilities are fantastic. We enjoyed our experience so much that this place earned a "heart" on our Google Maps! There are so many cycling, hiking and walking trails in the area that every day we had plenty of options for things to do. About the hotel itself. Things we liked: - We chose a room in the new building and we loved both the room and the mountain view. - The room was bright, spacious enough and cleaned every day. - We had half board (breakfast and dinner included). The variety of food was excellent and everything was delicious. I had no trouble finding healthy and tasty options for my kids. This is something I really appreciated, as it's quite rare in hotels. - The swimming pool area includes three pools and one jacuzzi. The water was warm and we could spend hours there with the kids. - The indoor and outdoor playgrounds are a great convenience for families. - You can rent bikes directly at the hotel and explore the region, as there are many cycling trails nearby. This was another big plus for us. Things to improve: - No towels are provided for the swimming pool. You can rent one at the spa for €2 per towel. - There is no complimentary water, kettle or coffee/tea in the room. - During dinner, all drinks must be paid for - not even tap water is available. This is something I've only experienced in hotels in Slovenia. Nevertheless, this hotel and this region are a must-visit if you love mountains and an active holiday!
Lovely hotel, surrounded by beautiful nature. The pool was really warm (you can stay in it for a long time, without getting cold). The self service buffet (breakfast and dinner) was really nice, we would only prefer more variations of desserts. They also have a bike and ski room.
We stayed a week with my family, great location and not our first stay there, always the 4 stars, but still the same room that now desperately need a renewal after those years. But the view is wonderful. Service is stone cold, big disappointment for turning the lights off at 20:30 when we are eating our dessert, come on! Pools are great but overcrowded with kids, meh. Food is good and in generous quantities. Sometimes a bit tasteless. I read a comment saying that the big downside is that the 4 stars shares the commodities with the 3 stars, sadly it shows… Prices are going up but the experience keeps downgrading. I think it’s our last stay there…
The hotel is in a quiet location, but not far from the main road. The 3-star rooms are up to the standard you would expect. There are two negative points related to this. The first is that the hand soap in the bathroom was not refilled once during the five days we spent at the hotel. The other is that no matter how we locked the door, either from the inside or the outside, it opened immediately with a slight push or pull. On the positive side, the restaurant's menu and the wellness facilities are excellent.One negative comment about the spa is that there is a sign on the wall saying that ball games are not allowed, but despite this, I was hit on the head several times in the jacuzzi. There is a spa attendant, but he doesn't really care. The price is very reasonable and the ski slopes in the area are easily accessible. Kranjska Gora is 10 minutes away, Tarvisio 30. Overall, I would gladly recommend this hotel.
