We have just spent a week at the Mediterranean Palace as a family of five with our youngest being 2 years and the oldest 64.
This hotel is in a fabulous location close to the beach and some fabulous shops.
Our youngest member had a brilliant time, the hotel is definitely family oriented and child friendly. He made lots of friends at the small splash park and the kids entertainment was outstanding.
The food in the buffet was ok but not great. We didn’t use any of the hotel restaurants but instead chose to eat out on 2 occasions. The steakhouse upstairs from the fountain is highly recommended.
We want to make a special mention to Aramburu who looked after us in the buffet restaurant, she greeted everyone with a genuine smile each visit and often went out of her way to come and say hello even if we weren’t seated in her area. She was exceptionally good with our toddler and he became quite smitten by her 😍
The rooms are small and for a five star we felt they were lacking somewhat and quite basic. Very little drawer space and quite squashed, especially our son and daughter in laws room with the extra child bed squeezed in.
All in all a good relaxing holiday, this is definitely one for families. Kids will always have a great time here. We would happily return, but only if we were travelling with family.
Overall, the stay was decent and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. However, for a 5-star hotel, I was surprised that access to the gym and spa required an additional fee rather than being included in the stay - 6 euros for the gym and 20 euros for the spa per day. Basic amenities such as a dental kit/dressing gown/slippers etc were also not provided, which is something many hotels offer as standard. The breakfast was okay but nothing particularly memorable. While the service was okay, the overall value and inclusions fell short of what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. I’ve stayed at many 5 stars across the globe, and this was definitely the worst one.
Honest opinion. Great service and very clean hotel but... you need to pay separately for snack bar with all inclusive! Their website doesn't give you any of that information.
There is some leftovers from breakfast for you in main restaurant but nothing to eat really. Food is not great...we expected a bit more variety. Small area with fruit and desserts also nothing great.
You can't swim with mattresses in the pool? I was sunbathing by the pool on the mattress and they told me to go... its a great location and staff is polite but for this kind of money you can have better for sure. Don't listen to tik tok opinions as I did. My mistake. Definitely not luxurious as they advertising. No music on the pool area. Music only plays when there is aerobics etc
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Everything else met our expectations. The only downside was the breakfast, which was quite simple and had very limited options, especially for vegan guests. Adding a wider variety of vegan choices would make the breakfast experience much better. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.
Amazing hotel!!! Had the best experience tenerife could of possibly giving to us. The hotel is just simply the best in tenerife I would not stay anywhere else in the future. I couldnt get over how the hotel looked the decor and design is just great I loved how the hotel was I would simply say its a 5 star hotel. The staff were just amazing from reception to entertainment to the cleaners. The cleaners every day would great you each member. The entertainment staff doing the sports activities like games and sports like volley ball had a great way about things very energetic people with great positive out look on things. I really liked the sports activities the staff definitely done exceptional work if you ask me. The buffet was great however I would of liking to see more of an Irish traditional breakfast there. They have a weighing scales for your baggage which is a bonus to and staff at reception try there best to accommodate you
