Unfortunately, we expected much more from this hotel. In our opinion, the experience was not worth the price we paid.
Although we had booked the all-inclusive option, we barely used it. The restaurant was extremely crowded, especially at lunchtime and in the evening, and at times it felt like everyone was pushing to get through. The quality of the food did not convince us either—perhaps we are simply used to a higher standard. Despite having all-inclusive, we ate outside the hotel almost every day.
The rooms were generally not bad. There are also newer, well-equipped rooms with balconies. However, after the first day, we already knew that this hotel was simply not for us. We spent very little time at the resort and even stayed somewhere else for one night because the hotel did not appeal to us at all.
Guests who enjoy large, lively, and busy resorts may feel comfortable here. However, if you prefer peace and quiet, a more special atmosphere, high-quality food, and fewer crowds, this is probably not the right hotel for you.
We have stayed at the Peninsula Resort for four nights, and it has been one of the best resort experiences we have ever had.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The front desk team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and caring. As this was our first visit to Crete, they made us feel right at home. A special thank you to Aman, Sofia, Effie, Fotini, and Tony for their outstanding service and genuine warmth throughout our stay.
We would also like to recognize Chef Stelvio, Christian, and the restaurant team. I have a gluten allergy, and Chef Stelvio took time during a very busy service to personally explain how the food was labeled and what options were safe for me to enjoy. That level of care and attention meant so much and allowed me to relax and fully enjoy our meals.
Everyone greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The beautiful resort, amazing service, and genuine kindness of the staff made this a truly unforgettable experience.
We can't wait to come back. Thank you, Peninsula Resort, for a wonderful stay!
The hotel was nice overall. We celebrated a bachelorette party there, and they upgraded us to a larger room and brought us champagne and fruit, which was a lovely touch.
The food was okay, but it wasn’t very varied for vegetarians. Also, only one bar was included in the all-inclusive package — the pool bar. The other two bars came at an additional cost.
The hotel staff were amazing! The blonde girl with the ponytail from the reception (sorry, we don’t remember your name 🥹) helped us so much and was always incredibly kind and helpful.
And the entertainment team — Filippo, Margarita and Alex — were absolutely worth everything! 🤩 You really made our holiday!
Food: we stayed there for 7 days and none of the days food is repeated. Also they are really tasty and everyday there was something to eat also for our 3 year old son. Also me and my wife were never bored with the food at all. Top notch and spot on.
If you stay there for 7 days in their premium room you get a free a la carte dinner from them for free. The dinner itself is a different experience and was really tasty.
Room: we booked the junior suite with sea view and the view from the room is spectacular. The resort is located in a great place and provides a great sea view even from their restaurant.
Hospitality: Wow. Never felt ignored with anything. Special thanks to Mr. Ankar for providing us with everything even before asking. Even before asking he was providing us everything we may need.
Cleanliness: Our room was cleaned each and everyday.
Just one small thing: If you have an active toddler like us then its a little bit of tough to cope up as the resort does not provide anything special for the baby except a really below average water slide. But they are working on making mini club.
Will definitely go there with my family. It is a really great resort in this price range.
Hi there,
We arrived some days ago. First Impressionen greek-style entrance. Lobby is quite new. It has a nice modern touch. The overall structure of the hotel is like little hikes and adventerous mazes 😉 quite cool! Close to boot and car rentals. Nice👍 Close to watersports. Outside of the metropol. So basically perfect for Hotel Resorts. Nights are beautiful. Some light, the ocean and the moon. We are Here for our honeymoon. Rooms (after a few and very friendly Emails) beautifully decorated (as of the "lovers bliss" package ;) ) As for now, very nice stay and very friendly staff. Food is also very good👍 for me the lunch and the Dinner are the more preferable meals 😂😉try the Tzatziki;) for us, the Double rooms with ocean view made the magic ;) Amazing. Really. Every penny worth!!
Tiny correction--
In high season very full at buffet and in the evening at the theater no where near enough chairs 😅 Last Resort are the sun loungers at the Pool.
But overall thx for acommondating us dear Peninsula SPA and Resort :)
