Best place to get to know the true Romanian traditional craft, hospitality and real food! Great mountain trips organized by the wonderful, energetic, positive Tinu :) are a must, especially for those who seek the quiet mountain feel :)! We loved our stay at Pensiunea Somesana. The view from the room is beautiful, the food is more than delicious and the host is welcoming. Moreover, the hiking trips organized were mesmerizing. We traveled with our dog, which was also treated just like our family member. In a word we had a great holiday! Thank you!
We've spent a weekend at Pensiunea Somesana, it was a great experience. The place is perfect if you want to rest and take nice day trips in the mountains. The owners are very kind and friendly people, they organize beautiful hiking and make you feel like home. We will come back here, for sure.
We stayed in two rooms, a family with 2 adults and 3 children (well one of the kids was a cousin of ours) for a couple of days to go hiking in the area. Btw if you are a lover of mountaineering this is a good place to base then go on Rodnei Mountains, to see places like Lakes Lala, of Ineu Peak. At the place you get a kind of all inclusive accommodation in a very nice mountainous and rustic surrounding, in a wooden building filled with ancient things like in a Transylvanian village life museum. At the heart of the business is the owner, Mr. Tinu who deals 24/7 with his customers, gives them advice for their visits and even organizes weekly hikes and treks, bonfires a.s.o. A very helpful, honest and competent entrepreneur indeed. Food and drinks are mostly locally produced and yummy.
Leontin is amazingly friendly, breakfast and the food in general is very tasty, I love the traditional interior of Pesiunea Somesana, the room was very clean and bright. National Parc Muntii Rodnei is very beautiful. I would like to return there one day!
