Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The resort is very large, with separate pools for both adults and children, making it a great option for different types of travelers. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Although the hotel is a bit older, it is well maintained and offers good value. The main downside is the dining policy. There are no à la carte restaurants within the resort, and if your stay does not include the all-inclusive package, the only option is to pay 120 RON per person for each meal served during the regular all-inclusive dining hours. Considering the lack of alternative restaurants on-site, this price feels unreasonably high.
the resort has a hectic look to it, theres no correlation between ornaments,arrangements or architecture. it also seems a bit untidy, especially the middle garden in between the hotels. The room was nice and has a really picturesque view with a large balcony, which helped balance out the negative aspects already mentioned. the restaurant is like no other, it feels like a jungle: overpopulated, noisy, all over the place. adding to that (this is in no way the staffs or resort’s management fault) so. many. crying. children!!!! on the beach, at the restaurant, around the pools. give it a break! the beach is starting to feel like a lost cause- plastic beach chairs, dirty sand and for sure the dirtiest water i have ever seen. i think the establishment aimed to look overall like a fancy or at least eye catching resort but in the making it ended up looking like a cheap one. i believe that for the same sum of money you could get yourself a better location, so id recommend to skip this one, sorry!
All you and your children need. As expected... nobody is perfect...at least here. Humans are running the place 😁 Not a flawless 4-star experience, but honestly, it doesn't need to be. What matters most — especially with kids — is all there: plenty of kid-friendly facilities, activities that actually keep them entertained, and staff who seem to genuinely enjoy working with families. Food was abundant and varied, good quality across the board, so no complaints there either. A few small things could be improved, but nothing that got in the way of a good stay. If you're traveling with children, this is a solid, reliable choice. I would go for a 4.8 stars...but rounding-up....

Feedback – Stay at Phoenicia Holiday Resort (June 20–23, 2025) My family and I stayed at Phoenicia Holiday Resort from June 20th to 23rd, 2025. Overall, our experience was positive—the facilities were pleasant, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our check-out experience left us disappointed. Around noon on the day of departure, my wife went to the reception to complete the check-out process while we planned to remain on the premises until 6 PM, as informed during check-in, which allowed us to retain the pool towels until that time. During this interaction, the receptionist, Carla, addressed my wife in an unprofessional and discourteous manner, raising her voice and demanding the pool towels. Despite my wife calmly explaining the information given at check-in, Carla continued to speak rudely and abruptly requested her ID. When my wife asked if the credit card was also needed as a guarantee, Carla responded dismissively with, "That’s all," showing clear attitude rather than professionalism. Later at 6 PM, we returned the pool towels as agreed and retrieved the ID. Due to the earlier unpleasant interaction, I requested to speak with a manager. I was told by Mohammed, who identified himself as the acting manager, that there was no other manager available. Instead of addressing the issue constructively, Mohammed dismissed my concerns in front of Carla and other guests, insisting that Carla is always friendly and implying that our account of the situation was not valid. While I acknowledged that staff can generally be friendly, my point was about the specific interaction that day, which was handled poorly. Unfortunately, rather than demonstrating understanding or offering an apology, Mohammed’s response came across as dismissive and unhelpful. Summary of concerns: The behaviour displayed by Carla was unprofessional and unacceptable, leaving a negative impression of the hotel at the final stage of our stay. The response from Mohammed, rather than focusing on resolution or customer care, made us feel invalidated and disregarded, which further impacted our experience. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as we otherwise enjoyed the resort and believe that with better handling of situations like this, the guest experience can be significantly improved.
