Amazing experience, the hotel exceeded all my expectations. So many areas where you can sit and relax, modern furniture throughout, everything looks classy and colour pallette is very chic. Cleaning team is amazing, they are always doing their job, toilets, bathrooms, terraces, garden, well maintained. Staff is always there when you need them, happy to help and making sure you get everything you need. Many thanks to Oğuz for going above and beyond to keep us happy. You make a difference to that place with your happy smile .I wish I would remember other members of staffs names, they were all great, always smiling and being nice. Many happy cats around the hotel, they looked well looked after.
This was our third stay at the Samara Hotel in Bodrum, and once again it was absolutely fantastic. One of the biggest reasons we keep coming back is the wonderful team — they make it so easy to slip straight into holiday mode.
The hotel’s location is ideal: peaceful and tucked away from the busy areas, yet with a shuttle running every 20 minutes into central Bodrum. The food was delicious and fresh, just as we’ve come to expect, and the Turkish à la carte restaurant was a real highlight.
There are a few people who always make our stay feel extra special:
Aysu from guest relations is such a breath of fresh air — always smiling, always helpful. She was wonderful on our last visit and just as fantastic this time. She’s a real asset to the hotel.
Catharina, the front office manager, greets us so warmly every time and always shares genuinely helpful tips that make our stay even smoother.
Oguz, who we met both at the Turkish à la carte restaurant and the pool bar, brings so much positive energy. You can’t help but smile when he’s around.
From the entertainment team, Diyora always made a friendly effort to check in with us. She was kind and courteous, even when we weren’t joining the late night activities.
I also have to mention the massage team — they’re consistently excellent. The Bali massage fits perfectly with the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel, and Ibrahim always makes sure we’re looked after and paired with our preferred therapist.
All in all, we’ll definitely be returning, and I’m already looking forward to our next stay.
We had a really nice stay at Samara Hotel in Bodrum. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable right away. It’s also a great place for families, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The sea was one of the highlights for us – so clear it almost looked like an aquarium, really beautiful to swim in. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference.
The rooms could be a bit better and the bathroom isn’t exactly brand new – it’s a little on the older side – but for the price, it was absolutely acceptable and still comfortable enough for our stay.
We actually enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it, which says enough about our experience. Overall, everything felt clean, organized, and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a pleasant and easy-going holiday.
Samara Hotel Bodrum is nicely located in Torba, with the sea literally about a one-minute walk away. The location is peaceful, but there is almost nothing around the hotel itself, so don’t expect to walk to restaurants, shops, or other attractions. The hotel grounds are also relatively compact. To get to Bodrum, you will need either a taxi or the cheaper minibus, which stops right outside the hotel and takes around 15 minutes to reach the centre.
The overall atmosphere is very quiet and family-oriented. Entertainment is minimal, especially compared with many Turkish all-inclusive resorts. There is very little animation, nightlife, dancing, or anything aimed at a younger crowd. This can be a positive if you want a calm family holiday, but it is worth knowing before booking.
The hotel itself is clearly dated, although generally well maintained. Check-in and check-out were both straightforward and we had no significant issues with the staff.
Food is adequate rather than exceptional. The selection is reasonably broad, with meat and fish available every day, and the salad bar is quite good. However, there is not much variation from day to day, and after staying for more than a week the food becomes quite repetitive.
Room cleaning was one of the weaker points. The rooms were cleaned daily, but the floors did not feel particularly clean — my feet would still get dirty from walking around the room. The room itself was fine, although the mattress was very hard and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable.
One personal disappointment was the coffee. Most machines use powdered coffee and powdered milk, while some of the other machines feel very old. There is a proper barista-style coffee station, but only in one location, and even there I found the coffee just barely decent. For anyone who cares about good coffee, this is definitely a weak point.
Overall, considering current hotel prices in Turkey, Samara is an adequate option. I would not consider it a particularly good deal, and I would struggle to describe the experience as genuinely five-star. It feels much closer to a solid four-star family resort: comfortable enough, well located by the sea, and generally pleasant, but with clear limitations. Book it with realistic expectations rather than expecting a luxury five-star experience.
The best hot holiday I’ve ever had. I’m writing this review as we wait for our transfer to collect us from the hotel and I’m so gutted to be leaving.
Staff - The best staff you could hope to encounter. Ersin in the main restaurant remembered which table we liked, which drinks we wanted and was so friendly. The staff are unreal. So friendly, so attentive and professional and can’t do enough for you. The best photos of our holiday were all taken by the staff who offered to take them again without being asked.
The Spa staff were all smiles and great service too. Gokhan and Zuhal are incredible at their jobs. Offering a great service and never pushing anything but instead making honest and relevant treatment suggestions based on what was best for us.
When we had the treatments (which were world class, definitely recommend the Turkish scrub and massage) they were still ever so friendly when I used the gym most days.
Excursions - Mehmet and the crew took us on the best boat trip I’ve ever been on. 3 stops, swimming in the Aegean Sea and even going out of his way to sort out a personalised cake on the boat, with music for my partners birthday. Just a class act and a lovely group of people.
Cleaning Staff, waiters, waitresses bar tenders, animation team and all staff were just sensational.
Rooms - Room was lovely and spacious, air conditioning is fantastic and given that my partner likes the room to be a fridge it is quite honestly the most impressive air conditioning unit I’ve seen.
Pools - So clean, so refreshing and the swim up bar was awesome
Only one downside…….we had to go home but we will be back as soon as possible.
I very rarely write reviews but this place deserves it
Can’t wait to come back 😊
