Just had a wonderful 7 night stay, all inclusive, at Sandos Griego with my mother and son. Staff were lovely and friendly and a special shout out to the kids entertainment staff Natalia and David who my son loved whilst being there. They were super friendly!
Our room was the premium one which was spacious and clean with towels changed every day.
The food was plentiful and everything we tried was hot and tasty, they have themed evening buffets eg Mexican night. Soft drinks and some alcohol included. I tried some cocktails they were basic but nice and rose wine which was really good with the evening meal.
The sunbeds are open from 9am there was a bit of a rush (people already reserving spaces with seats) there is a life guard on site 10am-5pm.
Theres a bus to the beach bar which has times and code located at reception, we did forget about this on our first day a did a walk to the beach more local. (Local beach about a 15-18 min walk but theres loads of steps!)
The night time shows at the pool side were good ( a different act each night listed on the board at reception) and finished around 11pm which was good for us as we usually headed back up to the room then and meant outside was fairly quiet.
(Spain won the semi final and the noise at the hotel was also low before midnight which was very nice too)
The only few minor issues were the cubicles in the public toliets in the reception and pool side barely had any locks on them. There was also a few mornings where the milk was sour (including the hot milk).
We would absolutely love to come back here though our time was amazing!
Overall I have really enjoyed my stay here. Food is varied and really tasty. Rooms are a little small and quite dated however they are very clean and reception are really happy to help with anything you may need. What really made the trip as enjoyable was the staff. All staff I interacted with made an effort to remember my name. The entertainment staff are amazing! Lots of games for all ages during the day (with prizes) and varied entertainment at night time.
Hotel Stay Review
The reception area of the hotel was nice, clean, and modern, and the cleaning staff did an excellent job throughout the stay — they were clearly hardworking and maintained the public areas well. The hotel is also in a good, central location which made getting around very convenient.
Unfortunately, the room on the 6th floor was very disappointing. There were holes in the walls, dirty ceilings, and the furniture felt extremely run down. The shower was particularly poor and remained unacceptable even after it was supposedly fixed.
The food was another major letdown. The all-day snack options were very limited and of low quality, with especially poor choices available for vegetarians. Evening entertainment was also disappointing both in quality and setup — the location made little sense, with large pillars blocking views for many guests.
Pepe’s Bar also fell below expectations in terms of quality and overall atmosphere and would benefit from better management and moderation. Additionally, the pool area appeared very unkempt and lacked proper upkeep.
Overall, despite the good location and positive efforts from the cleaning staff, the condition of the room, food quality, facilities, and entertainment made this a very disappointing stay. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone.
Had a week long all inclusive stay at Sandos Griego last week.
A fantastic stay, selection of food in the main buffet restaurant was fantastic and there was never a shortage of food even though it was very busy. There was something different every day and it was brilliant. There was always plenty of tables at all sittings throughout the day and was clearly well managed by staff.
Staff were very kind throughout the hotel. Special mention to Carl and the staff in the Gioconda restaurant. Fantastic food and service.
Bar was always fairly good in terms of queueing and great selection of drinks.
The pool was busy but most mornings beds were always available even after breakfast.
We had two Superior rooms for our booking and they were very nice, spacious and very comfortable.
We will definitely be back in the near future!
We had a wonderful stay and were very happy with everything! The food was delicious and varied, and the staff were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was very clean and was cleaned thoroughly every day. The entire hotel was well maintained and had a lovely atmosphere. Everything was great and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!
