We have just arrived home after a 4 night stay at this hotel. I can honestly say this hotel is just about a 3 star forget about 4 star. Firstly the hotel room, we paid for the penthouse rooms and the shower is totally open, no door to keep your privacy. So the whole room can see and walk past if you're having a shower. Not convenient if you're sharing with elderly parents. Then you get paper thin towels and no face towels, they don't replace them apart from everyday. You have to take your pool towels down and back up everyday. The pools are absolutely freezing and have thick gunk all around and mould. First day we found a large blood soaked bandage and plastered everywhere from at least a few days before. We told reception they said they would send someone to fix but didn't. The new slides you can't actually slide down them. You end up having to walk down them. 4 boys under 10 and they had one go and never went back. The buffet is absolutely disgusting. Lack of food and quality so disgusting. Honestly better to get air bnb than to waste your money here.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was cozy, peaceful, and perfect for families.
The staff were outstanding—warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable, and making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The location is excellent, with everything conveniently nearby. Overall, If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, family-friendly hotel with nice service and a good location, I highly recommend staying here. We would definitely love to come back!
Unfortunately this is not the Family All Inclusive we are used to: Buffet not really kid friendly with long queues and just half of the Buffet being used. Film ups to ages. Allthough we travelled in June only apples where offered as fresh fruit. Younger kids cannot have a look at the offer.
The Restaurant was absolutely crowded with senior bus tours and this is what the real issue was: Bus tours of people above 75 and families with kids are total opposites. This made the whole stay really difficult. Trying to accomodate all. And failing families.
In addition: We paid a good amount of money.
What was great? The pools, the Snack&Bar with a really good offer and nice staff and our room (on of the Penthouse Rooms). But this could not help to brighten the total experience.
Enormous hotel, good facilities and nice rooms. Staff were very friendly and omnipresent during breakfast or dinner buffet, there was never a shortage of anything. The food itself was above expectations too, especially given the sheer number of guests. The only downside was that the center of Malcesine is a bit of a long and steep walk. Definitely doable for adults, but a bit too much for our 2 year old, so we typically took the car.
Fantastic family hotel, this is our second time here. 4 different swimming pool areas and a great variety of activities provided by the children's entertainment team. A great range of mouthwatering food was provided each day, to suit many different tastes. We have had a very relaxing holiday and we are looking forward to returning at some point. We stayed in a garden room which was overlooking the lake, amazing views! Don't forget your insect repellent for the evenings. Really friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel.
