We had a great time with our 6 and 3 year old children! The hotel was very family friendly with many activities to do and a great mini club both kids loved spending time at. Food offer was very good with many fresh and different options for all tastes.
3rd year in a row staying at the Maro Suites with my daughters who are 9 and 5. The rooms are ideal having a separate room with bunk beds for the kids and simple things like lower sinks, steps and changing tables in the rooms make a big difference to a family travelling. Evening entertainment is a big hit but could do with a refresh now having seen it a few years in a row! The indoor pool dedicated to the this hotel is great with multiple slides and a splash pad area. Can’t rate this place enough for those with little ones. The kids club is always on hand for as long or as little as you need. Immaculate, clean and friendly with great food and lots of places to get a drink or a snack.
Excellent staff, great 5-star hotel • Outstanding staff! We booked a room for four (my wife, our 6-year-old daughter, my mother-in-law, and me) without paying close attention to the fact that the second bed was a bunk bed. Upon arrival, the lower bunk turned out to be too cramped for my mother-in-law. Huge thanks to the staff for accommodating us without any extra charge by upgrading us to a larger suite with two separate rooms (giving my mother-in-law and daughter proper separate beds). They helped us fix a booking oversight that could have ruined a very expensive vacation! • Gorgeous sea views from the kids' entertainment area and restaurants, along with a wide variety of food at the buffet. • We really enjoyed the heated pool right next to our building. When we arrived in mid-June, temperatures were around +24°C and the sea was still a bit cool, so the warm pool was a real lifesaver.
This was the first time visiting Croatia and this hotel. Simply booked on a whim as it said it was an adults only hotel. The service from the moment we were picked up at the airport to the moment we were dropped back off was amazing. The staff at the Girandella Resort were so kind and helpful particularly Mdland the Restaurant Manager who kept the whole restaurant team back on the first night so we could eat. Nothing was too much trouble, golf buggies were available to transport you to wherever you needed. The Experience Concierge was helpful and knowledgeable. Bar staff, housekeeping everyone was just smiley and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and clean, the pool, WOW it was so warm!! The views were breathtaking! Already looking at going back in September! Thank you to all the staff
Our family has been staying at Valamar Maro Suites for one week each year for 5 years now. It's perfect for families with small children, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, this year we definitely noticed the cost cutting measures that have been taken and urge the management to reconsider these and return things to how they were in the past.
