The hotel that hopes to enhance my experience.
+ Large territory with a lot of greenery. Good beach. Maintenance staff responds quickly. Well-trained, friendly, and compassionate personnel.
- Old, outdated rooms that need renovation, uncomfortable creaking beds. Poor quality of soft drinks (abominable instant juices). Standing in line before the pools open to occupy loungers (the number of loungers is insufficient).
The hotel needs to be renovated.
We love the resort. This was our second visit. The beaches, pools and water slide, the activities available on the resort, the buffet, but most of all the kids club and wonderful staff there. We stayed in a villa this time and while we liked the space, the location on the resort, and the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were a bit cramped. We would still come stay again. A wonderful experience.
To be honest it's not 4 star hotel. It's closer to 3. Most of the internet reviews mentioned that villas desperately need some renovation. Well that's true. All the furniture, kitchen, everything. That special "yellowish" old plastic I saw around the room on the old stuff really bothers me and it should others as well. It really makes bad impression. Please get rid of it! We really don't need "multimedia" lounge but we love nice rooms...
On the other hand, hotel is reasonably clean, well equipped with really nice personal. But renting all the equipment on the beach for those prices is not cool at all... In summary hotel needs few tweaks here and there and it will be the best money can buy. Right now it's debatable.
Update: I added one star because of the staff. They are great and extremely polite. Superb!
Great vacation, good food and activities. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lots to do and extremely kid friendly. Kids have tons to keep them busy. The main buffet restaurant can get extremely busy at times and for some reason the allow animals in the dinning area. Happy with our time spent here would defenelty recommended it to others.
The resort is really worn down and desperately need renovation. You pay for 5 * but get 3* standard. Nevertheless the gardens are well kept and also the outdoor playgrounds are great. The rooms are not cleaned properly and the air con does not reach the bedrooms properly due to its placement in the villas.
There are not enough sun beds around the pool so people start „booking“ seats with their towels which is not a proper behavior for a 4* resort. Having to pay for sun beds at the beach when already paying 50% more than last year is not acceptable.
Maro club is great! Kids loved it with excellent staff. That gets 5*!!!
Such a shame that only 50% of the club is open though and no excursions are done. False marketing on the website and at the booking central because this was not mentioned. We wanted Tamaris specifically because of the kids club excursions to pony riding etc!
Food is good but almost no variety. Local drinks have very bad quality (no Light versions offered except water) and having to pay extra for fresh pressed juice when already paying premium is not acceptable.
The health program is really annoying because it meant calling for room cleaning every day until finally we got that on a routine. Also the large kids climbing area in the main hall is disinfected but not cleaned so it’s filled with dust and waste not removed.
Also the small kids Pool next to the Mario club smells really badly and does not come across as very clean.
Staff is friendly and the bar areas are all really nice and we really enjoyed the evening entertainment.
Won’t come back unless the standard improves.
