We recently stayed at CDSHotels Terrasini and had a highly comfortable and memorable experience. The absolute standout feature of this resort is the staff. The cleaning crew deserves immense praise for maintaining immaculate standards across the entire property. Their attention to detail directly contributed to making our stay feel incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Furthermore, the shuttle and taxi drivers were exceptional. They demonstrated incredible patience, professionalism, and helpfulness, making every journey stress-free.The resort’s cliffside location offers absolutely beautiful views overlooking the sea. Getting down to the private beach area was incredibly easy and seamless thanks to the efficient shuttle service provided by the hotel. When it comes to dining, the food is not the best in terms of high-end gourmet quality, but there is always plenty of choice and a massive variety of dishes available at the buffet, so you will always find something to enjoy. We highly recommend taking the chance to visit the surrounding area during your stay. The resort is perfectly positioned for exploring beautiful nearby spots like the town of Terrasini, Cala Rossa, and the historic port of Castellammare del Golfo.Overall, it is a wonderful place to stay with fantastic service and scenery!
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Città del Mare – Beautiful location, but the hotel needs serious improvement
The location of CDSHotels Terrasini – Città del Mare is absolutely gorgeous. The views are stunning, and this is easily the strongest point of the hotel. I would give the scenery 5/5.
The staff were friendly enough, especially the younger members of staff. They were able to communicate in English, which made things much easier, and they were generally helpful.
Unfortunately, this is where most of the good experience ended.
The hotel and rooms are very outdated and clearly need serious maintenance and investment. The air conditioning in our room could barely cool the room and was extremely noisy. If you woke up during the night, you could honestly think there was a storm outside.
The shower cabin was extremely small. Anyone with mobility issues would struggle to use it comfortably. In fact, the whole hotel felt like it had not been properly designed with disabled guests in mind.
On the positive side, the room was reasonably clean and towels were changed every day, so I had no complaints regarding cleanliness.
The gym was honestly terrible. I would rather the hotel advertised that it doesn’t have a gym at all. It’s basically an outdoor area with a roof and some kind of metal mesh around it. A lot of the equipment was broken or looked like it was ready to fall apart, and there were only a few dumbbells available. The opening hours were also very limited — 10:00–12:00 and 16:00–18:00. With the temperatures in Sicily during these hours, exercising there was practically impossible.
The food was okay for both lunch and dinner, but the choice was quite limited. I would have liked to see considerably more chicken and beef options. The drinks, however, were good.
I’ve seen quite a few 5/5 reviews for this hotel, and honestly, based on my experience staying in hotels in many different countries, I find that rating very difficult to understand. Maybe people’s expectations are different, but for me this is 3/5 at best, and most of those three stars are because of the incredible location and scenery.
If you’re considering booking this hotel, my advice would be to look at other options and, if necessary, pay a little extra for a better hotel. If you’re someone who works hard all year and gets one proper holiday, I think it’s worth spending that extra money to make sure you have the experience you expect.
Beautiful location, but unfortunately the hotel itself doesn’t live up to its surroundings.
I've just come back from a 7 day stay. This was a great hotel for a good price. The staff are amazing especially cleaning staff.
The excursion will set you back roughly £80pp. Car rental was fabulous. I'd say don't attempt to drive to Palermo unless you are an EXCEPTIONAL driver. Driving to the temples is easy enough.
My room was basic but clean and nice. The hotel isn't luxury - You pay for what you get here.
The only thing I would say is that the paving really needs to be sorted out in areas.and the balustrades were quite low on the balconies. I got around just fine with my pram so it wasn't too much off an issue.
Overall the hotel is good and the staff are fantastic.
Amazing place, great people and food. They making you feel like a family here. I don’t understand some of people that moan about this place. Don’t believe in all the reviews. If you fancy big British fat greasy breakfast, then yep. This is not place for you but if you fancy to try the best local food and fresh sea food or fruits or vegetables then you would love this place. Very clean, there’s so much to do in this resort. Bus driver Carmelo was also so helpful and made us feel so special. He drove us to the beach safe everyday for a week with full joy and happiness. Always put our favourite Italian music too. This place is so magical it deserves all the stars in the world. I couldn’t ask for better holiday. It’s absolutely amazing !!! Thank you for all the staff making us feel like we a family not only guests. I absolutely can’t wait to book again with them. I’m so greatful. Thank you 🙏🏽
DON'T BOTHER!
We are currently on holiday here and only arrived on Thursday. We cannot wait to leave.
This place is absolutely awful. The rooms are like something from a 1970s hostel as are the pointless fridge and air con in the room. The food is absolutely filth. Nothing tastes right and my little one has spent last night being sick.
The staff seem well versed in receiving poor feedback and really don't look bothered at all. If you want bottled water, crisps, snacks, ice cream throughout the day, you have to pay. The hotel guests here are literally the rudest most arrogant hostile I've ever come across, most of them will just walk through you if you are in their way, this includes my 20 week pregnant wife! This really adds to overall experience.
There are 3 restaurants on site but if you try and book via the app, they send you a holding email and then email you on the day to day sorry they can't accommodate you. After making a fuss at reception (and being told they are trying to accommodate 2000 other guests) as we were genuinely so hungry, they booked us in for 9:30pm and we were finally eating at 10:30pm.
Literally I should of stuck my three grand in the bin and saved all the agrovation.
