This hotel resort is amazing. My old room was quite noisy at night from music and in the morning from the children at the pool. Without any problems I got a different room. The new room was very quiet, spacious and clean. The room had all the amenities you needed (soap, body lotion, shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, bathrobes, 3 different towel sizes, slippers, 2 sizes of pillows). What I want to highlight is the staff here. They are friendly and forthcoming and their English is amazing. The food is some of the best hotel food I've ever had. The drinks are also good, but it can take quite some time for them to arrive at the table. The sports program could be a bit bigger, but there are still different possibilities (yoga classes, personal tennis trainer, beachvolleyball, stand up paddle, kajak, Jetski, aqua gymnastics, gym). The beach is a pebble beach, but that is for me even better than sand. The only really bad thing here are the mosquitos in the evening, so definitely bring a repellent with you! All in all, this hotel resort is wonderful.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful, me and fiancée stayed here and it has been the most fancy hotel we have ever stayed at, great arrival customer service and we got a free upgrade, however we don’t think there is enough staff for the service we expected, breakfast felt quite rushed, soon as we were finished eating they took our plates (our mouths were still full) we did not got all Inclusive but on occasion we stayed in at the hotel bar and it took ages to be served and once we were served it seemed like forever till the drinks came out. It’s a shame because everything else was absolutely perfect, and we would recommend to anyone.
We had such a lovely stay at Gennadi Grand Resort! The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and everyone we met was genuinely kind and helpful. Every time we needed something, it was taken care of quickly and always with a smile. A special thank you to Panagiotis. We were staying only a few days and couldn’t get a reservation at the Steakhouse. We happened to meet him on our first evening, explained our situation, and he did everything he could to find us a table. He even prepared the beef tartare right in front of us, which made the dinner even more special. During our stay we kept seeing him everywhere – at the restaurants, the bars, by the pool, even on the beach. He is always smiling, always helping guests, and you can really tell he loves what he does. We also want to thank the amazing guys at the pool bar. They were so sweet with our kids, always joking with them, remembering what they liked, and happily making all of their little “special requests”. They really helped make our family holiday even more enjoyable. Thank you to the whole team for making us feel so welcome. We would happily come back and definitely recommend this hotel! We stayed at Gennadi Grand Resort & Spa for eight days. The property is beautiful, rooms are spacious and most staff are lovely, but unfortunately the overall experience did not feel five-star. My check-in was excellent, but my friend’s two days later was the opposite. She wasn’t offered a welcome drink, invited to sit down or even properly informed of her room number. Nobody explained the hotel, restaurants, app or all-inclusive arrangements, leaving me to do it. Some reception and OTK restaurant staff could also be passive-aggressive when answering normal questions. The all-inclusive package was disappointing. You constantly need to check the app to see what is included and what costs extra. Even fresh orange juice is extra. This defeats the convenience of choosing all-inclusive. Food needs significant improvement. Breakfast is exactly the same every day with limited variety, and the coffee throughout the hotel is awful. Several dishes barely resembled their descriptions: “Eggs Benedict” was a tiny flatbread with a fried egg and mayonnaise, the tiramisu was nothing like tiramisu, and a strawberry tart contained almost no strawberry. Lunch at the buffet was poor. At the Greek restaurant, the sea bass carpaccio tasted concerningly unpleasant and the beef tartare was even worse. The Italian restaurant was inconsistent too. Buffet service is unnecessarily complicated. You give your room number to the hostess but aren’t told who your waiter is. When trying to order, we were repeatedly told “I’m not your waiter”, despite having no idea who our waiter was. Drinks sometimes arrived after we had finished eating. We also asked the restaurant manager if an egg could be prepared without bacon. He asked where we were sitting, then returned saying he had forgotten where we were seated. Beach service was similarly very slow. Housekeeping was inconsistent. We had stained bedsheets, poorly made beds, missing towels and amenities that weren’t replenished unless requested. Sustainability is understandable, but basic five-star standards should still be maintained. The spa/gym experience was also disappointing. The gym is tiny and we were never offered a spa tour despite the hotel survey specifically asking about it. The gentleman managing the spa/gym was rude and unwelcoming. He interrupted my friend’s online fitness class and made her leave the gym mid-session to tell her not to film anyone, although she had positioned the camera away from other guests and nobody had complained. There were no visible signs prohibiting video calls either. Regardless of the policy, this could have been communicated politely without disrupting her class. Spa treatments also felt overpriced, although the young female therapist was lovely. We also did not see a lifeguard at the beach during our stay, which was surprising for a resort of this size. Entertainment is extremely limited. The astronomy evening was fantastic and our highlight, but otherwise evenings were very quiet. Piano, violin and background live music are nice, but such a huge resort has the space and potential for proper entertainment. The kids’ club is also surprisingly tiny and bare. On the positive side, the grounds and rooms are lovely, pool service was efficient, and most staff were friendly. Special mention to the buggy drivers, who were genuinely some of the sweetest and most welcoming people we met. Overall, Gennadi Grand is a beautiful resort with huge potential, but the food, housekeeping, entertainment, parts of the service and all-inclusive offering need significant improvement to genuinely match its five-star positioning and price.
I think this was one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. Everything about Gennadi Grand Resort exceeded our expectations. The location is beautiful, right by the sea with crystal-clear water and a Blue Flag beach. It was so relaxing to spend our days there. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and very clean. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and kept spotless throughout our stay. The food was delicious with plenty of options, and the service was amazing. Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Truly 10/10 service. One thing we especially loved was how peaceful the resort felt. There were not too many people, which made it even more enjoyable and relaxing. We stayed at the end of May, and for us the weather was perfect. We don't like extreme heat, so it was warm, sunny, and comfortable without being too hot. Overall, a fantastic hotel that we would happily return to. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
