Overall, our stay was enjoyable, but there were a few issues.
The hotel has a great location, the food was good, and the family pool was a nice addition for guests with children.
However, lunch dishes were not labeled, making it difficult to know what was being served. Communication with housekeeping was sometimes challenging because the staff did not speak English. The room key cards often stopped working, and glasses and cups were frequently unavailable.
Another drawback was that coffee, tea, and juices were only available at breakfast, while only soft drinks were offered during the rest of the day.
Overall, I would rate this hotel 3 out of 5 stars. It has several positives, but there is still room for improvement.
What can I say about this hotel, I'll start with this, if you had an emergency in your room don't bother using the rooms phone.... its not connected to anything. It's purely there for show. Even if you could use the phone just to call reception, they wouldn't understand you. Unless you are Spanish, or wanting to immerse yourself and try out your Spanish, you'll be fine. The language barrier was very difficult, download a translator you will need it everywhere.
I travelled with a group of friends for a relaxing fun weekend away, we had 3 rooms and 1 room struggled to open every day and night with a failed key card. Good for those who want to up their steps as the 2 tiny lifts only fit 5 people in. So a nice long walk from one end of the hotel to the other, down steps, and back up. Only for it to fail again (this is where it would have been handy to have a phone to use from one of the other rooms to call reception!).
The showers are a little snug, I had a shower curtain in mine, my friends had glass doors, the taps stuck out so much from the wall it made the space even smaller, so I seemed to have a dashing wet shower curtain constantly on my back, or front. I ended up not using it and putting a towel on the floor to catch the splashes from my shower. If you are over 6ft, not sure how you'll wash your hair as they are also quite low. Oh and the bathroom door didn't shut completely which was lucky because if it did, I would of had a face full of door with the toilet being so close to it. As I said, tiny bathroom.
The pool was an ok size, big enough to top up in the mornings with 2 hoses, yes they had hoses filling it up. They tried to remove the murky water that had developed with some chlorine which we watched go past us on our last day but it didn't change much.
The food... there's salad! They did have 2 fresh cooking stations which was nice. Shame they don't understand you don't want raw meat. Even the fried eggs in the morning had a cold yolk. They do have lots of pastries which were nice but it was very basic.
There were some kind staff, not sure if they were laughing with us or at us. Each to their own I suppose.
We went all inclusive, you get a lovely wrist band and have to pay €2 deposit for a small token. This is what you use for a drink, you hand the token over when ordering a drink. Each time you want another drink, you give them the plastic cup and they change it with a nice fresh beverage of your choice. Sounds simple enough. But if you leave a small amount in the bottom or don't like the drink and want another (lemonade is quite sharp) they will refuse to get you another one. The toilet is a good place to discard your warm dregs.
You will also need to keep your receipt for these tokens, even though you've already paid to get the tokens originally, without that receipt along with the language barrier, you'll be there a while trying getting your deposit back.
On reflection I can say it was clean and the kids pool looked fun, but we definitely wouldn't be returning!
Hotel was better than I expected!
Despite so many bad reviews we choose this hotel for it's affordability, location and a new adventure in smaller place outside of crazy Barcelona!
Room was clean, with nice view on the Sea. Occasionally it was a bit smelly in toilets but that's happening everywhere..
People who are working in hotel are very polite and helpful, despite the fact that they are having quite stressful daily situation with asocial guests around!
Beach is only few minutes away from the Hotel ( by walking).
Food was good and fresh. There's always something to find for everyone.
Restaurants offers very wide options of possible menu with very strong chairs and tables since there's so many overweight people who are enjoying daily in their meals so long dinner is served 👍
Hotel combines different people of guests with lots of people from Spain itself which is very nice to see. So, if there's chance to come in the same direction I would be staying again in this Hotel 🌴👍
Really enjoyed our stay here. Was slightly disappointed with what was included in the “all inclusive”. They only provided minimal drink options, and water bottles were not included. Food was fine, but did get old quickly. Staff were all very friendly and the entertainment at night was a great time. Definitely more elderly population but my friends and i had a great time
My partner is disabled we have a wheelchair i wouldn't say this hotel is disabled friendly the lifts where a bit of a struggle with the chair as the doors in front of the lift door was hard to get in the lift with them, it made it a struggle. the the location is superb we loved san salvador it's a sleepy friendly place to be we would definitely go back perhaps not the hotel not that we didn't like it just had a few niggles like having to pay for water in evening and afternoon meals we where half board we ended up sneaking our drink into the dining room the pool was lovely but it definitely needs a lifeguard as was very chaotic at times and at 1 point my partner was kicked by a swimming child in the face it left her stunned and nervous in the pool it definitely needs someone policing it not just a few rules written on a sighn that guests ignore . entertainment at night we made our own as was very poor at the hotel . It's a shame we felt the hotel was lovely ,and the staff were as helpful as could be but it just seemed lacking they seemed set in a routine every day and where very focused on that we had a lovely time though we made the most of it and enjoyed everything we could
