Ihana lomakeskus. Ystävällinen henkilökunta ja kaunis sijainti, jonka läheisyydessä on runsaasti erilaisia rantoja. Hyvä grilliravintola, jossa on herkullisia mereneläviä. He auttoivat minua jopa gluteenittomien vaihtoehtojen löytämisessä. Erinomainen vaihtoehto, jos et halua majoittua Algheron keskustassa ja pidät rauhallisemmasta ilmapiiristä.
We stayed for a week at the beginning of October. On arrival we were met by Anna, who was fabulous and very helpful. Our room overlooked the courtyard and had a balcony. The room as bright, clean and just the right size. The air con was easy to use and effective. We took a stroll around and there are lovely grounds to the hotel, we didn't have a car but there is a large parking area, if needed. The pool area is well equipped with sun loungers and there is a private beach also with plenty of loungers. The pool is maintained everyday and there is a lifeguard on duty all the time during the day, who also helps out with towels as needed.
The poolside bar serves great lunches and a good selection of drinks. The serving team at the bar are excellent and whilst we can't remember all their names, Erik is very helpful.
There is a bus service just down the road which took us to the town of Alghero and it is well worth the visit. 1.5 euros. A taxi is about 30 euros we believe.
Overall we had a wonderful time, no complaints at all. One or two observations worth knowing. The pool bar is open in the eveneings but does not serve food. The restaurant food is excellent quality but the evening menu is not extensive and needs to be booked in advance via reception. There are no local shops (walkable) but if you have a car, we're sure you can find something nearby. There is a fridge in the room and milk for your morning cuppa is available from the poolside bar free of charge. The hotel appears to be mainly "card only", but the town centre in Alghero is flexible across card & cash.
We loved it here and may well return.
I spent ten days at the Porte Rosada Hotel and really enjoyed my stay. The location is beautiful, right by the sea and in a very peaceful setting, slightly outside Alghero. It was exactly what I was looking for: a quiet and relaxing place, while still being less than a ten-minute drive from the city centre.
The hotel offers excellent facilities, including a very good gym, beautiful paths surrounded by nature that are perfect for running or walking, and a lovely pool bar where you can have lunch or enjoy an aperitif while watching the sunset.
The rooms are comfortable, the service is good, and the staff are always friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel also has two restaurants, including one specialising in grilled fish and meat, which I particularly enjoyed.
I highly recommend this hotel to couples without children and to anyone looking for peace, relaxation and a place to truly switch off and unwind.
From the moment we arrived until the day we reluctantly checked out, our experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional.
What truly sets this property apart is its people. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. It is rare to experience such consistently outstanding service across an entire team, and it is clearly a reflection of a strong and positive management culture that empowers staff to deliver excellence with a smile.
A special mention must go to Magdelena on reception, who made an incredible first impression with her friendly and heartfelt welcome. She immediately made us feel valued and at home, setting the tone for what would be an unforgettable stay. Throughout our time at the hotel, Magdelena was always approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Whether providing local recommendations, answering questions, car hire or simply checking that everything was perfect, she consistently went above and beyond.
What impressed us most was that this exceptional level of care extended throughout the entire hotel. Every interaction with housekeeping, restaurant staff, bar staff, and the wider team was positive. Everyone appeared genuinely happy, engaged, and proud of what they do. That kind of atmosphere cannot be manufactured; it comes from excellent leadership, mutual respect, and a culture that clearly values both employees and guests alike.
The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, perhaps the rooms need some modernisation but it is the people who make it truly special. Their warmth, kindness, and professionalism transformed a great holiday into an outstanding one.
We have stayed in many excellent hotels over the years, but few have left such a lasting impression. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and are already looking forward to returning for another relaxing experience. Five stars in every respect.
