I was very happy with our stay at this hotel and overall I’m really glad that I chose it!
Pros:
— Very tasty and varied food. I especially want to mention the tomatoes — they are incredibly delicious. And the baklava and beetroot salad are simply amazing! The pizza, in my opinion, is even better than in Italy, without exaggeration.
— Clean rooms.
— Very friendly and attentive staff. I especially want to mention the service during meals: the waiters constantly clear the used plates, ask if we would like something to drink, and bring the drinks themselves. A very good level of service, which is really pleasant.
— Quite often in the evenings there are dancers or musicians performing by the pool. The performances are really great, and they create a very pleasant and atmospheric atmosphere.
I would also like to mention the young red-haired female bartender. She is a very nice girl! I would love to see her behind the bar more often. We, for example, don’t always know what cocktails can be made from the drinks included in the all-inclusive package. She didn’t just make a drink for us, but also suggested and offered some interesting combinations. It was really nice to receive that kind of attention. Unfortunately, the other bartenders didn’t really give any suggestions.
Cons:
The only thing that was a little disappointing was the tax of €56. In my opinion, it would be much more convenient if this tax were included in the hotel price when booking, or at least if the final total cost was clearly stated in advance.
We had already paid quite a large amount for the trip, so we brought only a minimal budget with us for additional entertainment and expenses. These €56 ended up having a bit of an impact on our budget during the holiday.
Overall, my impression of the hotel is very positive. I’m very glad that I chose this hotel and would happily come back again! ❤️
We stayed at this hotel at the end of June and, unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. In its current condition, I don’t think it deserves its advertised 4-star rating.
There were a few positives. The food was simple but tasty, and the location is convenient, being close to both the beach and the airport.
However, the hotel has significant issues with maintenance, cleanliness, and management. Our room was very outdated and clearly in need of renovation. The hotel also felt generally neglected: common areas were not cleaned regularly, the windows were dirty, and even the plates in the restaurant were often not properly cleaned.
The biggest concern was safety. We found heavy, uninstalled window panes left standing next to the playground, where children were playing, and needles inside the kids’ club. There is also an open games room with table football, and other entertainment equipment, where several heavy tables were stacked on top of one another without being secured. These could easily fall and seriously injure a child. These are completely unacceptable hazards, especially for a family hotel. I have attached photos.
One evening, the town experienced a power outage, so the hotel switched to a diesel generator located right next to the children’s playground. While it is understandable that a backup generator is necessary, its location is questionable. It produced a significant amount of noise and diesel fumes in an area intended for children to play.
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel at the last minute was the advertised kids’ club and playground. On arrival, we were told the kids’ club would remain closed until 1 July, despite it being peak season. After I complained, the explanation changed to “it just needs to be cleaned.” Only after requesting compensation did they open it, although it still hadn’t been cleaned. At least it gave us somewhere shaded to entertain our active toddler, as the playground itself has no shade at all.
The hotel also isn’t particularly family-friendly in practice. There were very few suitable food options for young children, with most dishes being heavily salted, spicy, or sweetened.
The “all-inclusive” package is also misleading. Many items are only available during limited time slots - for example, ice cream is served only between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m., and even sparkling water can only be obtained from the bar rather than being freely available.
Finally, the beach advertising is misleading. The photos on booking platforms can easily give the impression that the hotel has a private beach, but it does not. Several other guests we spoke to had the same expectation.
We travel frequently and have stayed in everything from small B&Bs to luxury five-star resorts, so we are generally not demanding guests. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel in its current state. Until the management addresses the cleanliness, maintenance, safety issues, misleading advertising, and family services, there are much better options available on the coast of Crete.
Our stay was absolutely amazing. We had a private airport transfer, which was well organized for us. The room provided was in perfect location, very clean and well maintained. For two of us, there was plenty of space. All our wishes were solved quickly at reception without any delays. All meals in the buffet were very tasty, service on front was helpful and caring. I can recommend massage in hotel spa. The distance to the beach is less then 100m. Hoping to be back next year.
Very nice hotel and great service. The food at the breakfast and diner buffet was also great. Thank you for the good experience!
We love Popi – she’s the best bartender and deserves a raise. We love this place. See you next year
