I’m writing this review because, before our trip, I read so many negative reviews that I was honestly quite worried and almost regretted booking this hotel. After staying here, I can say that our experience was completely different.
Yes, the rooms are modest and a little dated, and you definitely shouldn’t expect luxury. But they are spotlessly clean, and that matters much more to us. The terrace is small, but perfectly fine for sitting and enjoying a drink. The garden and pool area are beautiful and very pleasant.
The reception could definitely be better. The staff sometimes seemed confused and we received different answers to the same questions. For example, we were initially told that we could pay extra for a late check-out, only to be told later by another receptionist that it wasn’t possible and that we should check online. A little confusing.
But the food deserves a huge 5 stars! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner included and were genuinely impressed. The food was fresh, varied and there was always plenty of choice. There was always something for the kids, including pasta and fries, but also a great variety of food for adults. Seafood was served very often, and there was always lots of fresh fruit and desserts.
A special thank you to Liliana, who checked guests in at the restaurant. She was always so kind, friendly and welcoming. ❤️
Overall, for the price we paid, this hotel was more than worth it. I was honestly worried because of some of the reviews, but our experience completely changed my mind. If you come with realistic expectations and don’t expect a luxury hotel, I think you can be pleasantly surprised.
Don’t let the negative reviews scare you away — we had a really lovely stay! 😊
The hotel is on good place, beach, shops, restaurants are very close. The pool is little bit small. Everyday/night has entertraining programs, music, zumba, games, dj.
Restaurant is good, but have to queing so better to not go in the last minute. Avoid comments who says the food is not good. We had nice foods, like meetballs, breaded chicken, pasta, steak, gyros, hamburger, hot dog, fish, different tastes of paella. Sometimes the paella wasn’t very tasty. We had full board so the water was free and the morning juices. Morning food was basic, egg, sausages, bacon, beans, sandwich, sweet things, we always find good foods everytime. Unfortunately the plates was dirty couple of times. They not serve doughnuts on the sweets table. I read one comment before, the costumer said the beans was cold on the morning. Come on, there was a microwave on the corner, just have open your eyes and have to use it if someone are not satisfied with the food temperature. Otherwise the tables and restaurant was clean, but busy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar was clean. The room, we had a the with 3 single beds, the room little bit small. It was clean, except the small table next to the balcony, it was dusty and tobacco pieces was on it. Otherwise the room was clean, housekeeping tidy up the beds everyday, changed towels and bin. Beds was comfortable but creaked, pillow was too fat. Bathroom was clean but i think the bathtub was old because it was yellow little bit on the bottom. The hotel give shampoo, bodysoap and handsoap, paper cups. No kettle, no hairdryer. Funny and little bit annoying there is no plugs next to the beds, only one plug in the middle but that is wasnt the tipical eu plug, it was smaller, so nothing fits inside. Only normal plug was in the bathroom, and almost to the ceiling for the tv. So when we wanted to charge the phones we needed to stand on the chair and put the phone on the top of the tv because the plug was so high. The fridge didn’t work and plug was blocked. The aircondition was working properly. Balcony is small, we had the room at the back of the hotel so we just view the carpark, but don’t mind. The walls are not thick, we heard the people in the neighbour room, or when someone running on the corridor. Very basic room, if you want more choose expensive hotel. We only slept and ate at the hotel, so we didn't spend much time there, so these little things aside, we didn't have any problems. Has entertrainment room and kids room too.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Htop Planamar. The location is excellent, with easy access to the beach, local shops, and restaurants. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which really made our stay more enjoyable.
The entertainment and bar were great, providing a good atmosphere in the evenings. The only area that could be improved is the rooms, which felt a little dated and could benefit from some updating. However, they were clean and functional for our stay.
Overall, good value for money with fantastic service and a great location. We would happily return.
There are positive and negative about the hotel. I didnt like the room at all, small and old, the balcony has no privacy, its near to the other room. The bed needs improvement and no refrigerator for drinks. The food is average. Pasta, hamburgers, salad.. I think they cater only for the English tourists.
Positive, I love the patio of the hotel. From the gate entrance it feels like authenticl meditarenean Andalusian vibe.
Disgusting hotel walked in and walked out within 5 minutes. The room was unsafe and unsanitary, stunk of mould, the air con didn’t work, the bed sheets were not fresh, the toilet wasn’t even flushed and the mould around the bath was terrible. As someone who travels a lot, this is by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen.
