At first it seems a bit old-fashioned, but after a few days it turns out to be a very good hotel. Well-organised, spotlessly clean, with varied and delicious food. Everything is close by and convenient. The daily evening entertainment keeps both children and adults entertained. The best bits are the female entertainers from Itaka (Paulina and Oliwia) and the barman Serkan – best wishes to you all!! We recommend Janek’s shop downstairs – you won’t find anything like it in the area :)
Cons: no sea view, but the walk is fine. They spent three days fixing our air conditioning, but thanks to our persistence and reporting the issue every day, they managed to sort it out :) That’s why we’re giving it 4 stars.
Our 2 week stay is beyond wonderful. I appreciate it is very clean, including the pools. We liked the meals a lot, we even chose 2 - 3 favourite desserts. However, my heart hurt when I saw the ladies with the waffles by the pool. It is 40 degrees and they bake waffles at the hottest place in the resort, between 12 and 16. This is cruel. Can they be moved somewhere else, maybe near the photographer, under the trees - still very close to the pool but with conditions more human. Please consider it. It was really heartbreaking. Of course they do not complain and they are happy they have a job. But why make it so tough if it can be done differently?
A Resort best suited to families with kids friendly activities and facilities. Hospitable staff welcomes you at reception, no lengthy form filling is required.Staff is proactive to facilitate luggage transfer to rooms. Welcome drinks are provided in the room. Rooms for family are of adequate size with good view and serviceable amenities. Room service staff took personal responsibility to approach you for replenishment and cleaning. Food was always fresh and sufficient in quantity. Multiple beverages, tea and coffee are always readyly available. Kids enjoyed slush and ice cream. Coffee corner always kept sufficient supply of various pasteries and cookie. Freshly prepared waffles are a big hit with guests. Awesome buffet with variety of dishes to meet requirements of guests.
Animation team of hotel kept guests actively entertained with multiple activities i.e: dart playing, water polo. Kids had a lot of fun as special activities were planned for them after the dinner. We witnessed Turkish nad Mangolian Nights with awesome performances which guests thoroughly enjoyed. Thank You, My Home Resort management and staff for making our vacation pleasantly memorable.
A hidden gem with an excellent swim-up room and unforgettable staff
We stayed at My Home Resort in 2023. When we first arrived, my initial thought was: what have I booked? Other guests seemed to be dropped off at enormous hotel complexes, while My Home Resort is located more quietly in a side street.
Once we entered the hotel, however, that first impression disappeared immediately. Inside, everything was well organised, comfortable and much better than we initially expected.
We had booked a swim-up room, and this was one of the best parts of our stay. Despite the hot weather, the swim-up area remained pleasantly cool, and we could still use the water in the evening and at night. This was especially valuable because my wife was around five months pregnant at the time.
The hotel organised themed evenings during our stay, and these were genuinely very well done. Having stayed at several other resorts since then, we can say that My Home Resort handled its themed evenings extremely well. We have also seen that the hotel has since been renovated and modernised considerably, including updates to the waterslides.
The animation team was another highlight. Nedir was absolutely fantastic and one of the best entertainers we have experienced at a hotel. He had a great personality, made people laugh and brought a lot of energy to the resort. As far as we know, he no longer works there, which is a real loss for the hotel.
A very special mention must also go to Yusuf at the bar. At first he could appear slightly serious, but once you got to know him, he was outstanding. From entertaining tricks behind the bar to excellent service and real professionalism, he was one of the best bartenders we have encountered in Turkey. We do not know whether he still works at the resort, but Yusuf alone would be a reason for us to consider returning.
The beach is around a five-minute walk from the hotel through a pleasant path with flowers. The walk itself is nice, but the beach was not one of the strongest points for us. There were many pebbles, including in and around the water, so guests who strongly prefer a soft sandy beach should keep this in mind.
The Avsallar market is also only around five minutes away on foot. It is smaller than the Manavgat market, but still pleasant and convenient to visit.
Through our Corendon representative, we booked a jeep safari and a trip to Manavgat market and waterfall. The jeep safari was great fun for our daughter and for me, but it was absolutely not suitable for someone who was five months pregnant. Looking back, recommending this excursion to us was irresponsible.
The Manavgat waterfall was also disappointing. It is wide, but only around two metres high and did not feel worth the organised excursion. Guests who want to visit Manavgat market would probably be better off taking a taxi or dolmuş and exploring at their own pace.
Overall, My Home Resort surprised us in a very positive way. The swim-up room, themed evenings, animation and bar staff made the holiday memorable. The beach was the main weakness, but the hotel itself offered a warm atmosphere and excellent personal service.
Special thanks to Nedir and Yusuf, who were both genuine standouts and made a lasting impression on us.
Was uncertain about this choice due to some reviews I read. However, my stay here was very pleasant. From the clean rooms to the meal choices and varieties available, to the friendliness of the staff and super cool animation team and engagement. This holiday was well worth it . Will definitely repeat this in very near future 😁🤩
