Worst 5-star hotel & experience ever. This is what they call an Executive Room with mountain view… The pictures on their website are nothing compared to what you get in reality. We got tucked away somewhere on the side of the hotel while we booked for this room and payed more than €250 per night. People making noise in the early morning, workers in front of our room in the early morning, yellow generator in front of our room making noise the whole day, very old bathroom. We even booked a free bottle of wine and there was nothing there. This should be a romantic babymoon (Im pregnant), but absolutely the worst experience. We got to the front desk & were send away more than 5 times because of stupid reasons. No compensation whatsoever. Dont go here.
Ps. We never leave a bad review, but this hotel deserves it…
Me and husband have always had a deal to ensure we explore only new places and hotels. This however is a hotel we will have to return too! On arrival We were extremely late and missed food but reception had kindly kept sandwiches behind and helped us with bags to our room. Which was clean and smelt amazing very spacious and comfortable.
Food for buffet has a large variety and as cooked in mass we found is always cold! or gets cold very quickly to the point we didnt bother last few days and.was better of skipping it!! But dont worry the pool has fresh cooked pizza cooked in a clay oven there and then! its fresh and hot and tasty! The gyros also like most kebabs come warm and good choice.
we never got to try the a la cart as was only included free once for people staying a week or longer. As we had 5 days we would have to pay €50 each which was slightly disappointing as most the time it was empty so maybe could of given us it.
Also the lift is temperamental doesnt like to go in order of floors and very hard to get to higher levels we found ourselves having to use the stairs alot. Which was slightly annoying plus the room doors you do have to slam shut so not the most noise friendly but wasnt an issue.
NOW FOR THE BEST PART Of our stay the pools and lounges! There are plentiful and nicely situated so that there were areas for kids or family's or thouse that wanted to relax. For the first time ever my husband who has a stoma bag could sit on a lounge submerged slightly in the pool and dip himself int the pool!! And relax, His not been able to do that for 20 years so this alone was something we will remeber forever.
The staff here are very friendly and very well attentive.
My husband had a beautiful spa treatment which he loved and again very accommodating to his medical needs. They also had a small church here which was perfect.
The entertainment at night was different each day and a lot of fun!
there is itinerary of activity plans throughout the da; not that I could find them. as doesnt mention where to go!
So maybe should state at beach area or destination spots to meet! could help. The beach itself was footsteps away and private area for guest only to use plus a small gym area to accommodate everyone this hotel truly thought about it all just few areas to improve on other than that its one for the books for us and will return for the lounges in the pool! So thank-you to all staff for a beautiful and wonderful stay x ❤️
I'd like to thank Savvas for his outstanding help during my parents' stay at Pegasos Beach Hotel.
He has been incredibly friendly, responsive and accommodating while helping with restaurant reservations and special requests. Every message was answered quickly and with a genuine willingness to help. It never felt like a standard hotel response, but rather like someone who truly cares about the guests.
This kind of personal service is exactly what I hope for when choosing a hotel.
Thank you, Savvas! It is very much appreciated.
Rooms - 5/5, good sound isolation on the road side rooms
Territory - 5/5, large, beatiful
Service - 3/5, there was no guest relation table, only reception, when the new arrivals come in, there is line of people that stand there an hour or more, the two receptionists are gentleman of age and they work quite slowly (no complaint about that, that is normal), they simultaneously pick up the phone and provide service over the phone. For me, as an existing guest it was quite confusing not to be able to receive any service. There was nobody else to speak to. And I had only one quick question...
Food - 0/5, totally, absolutely, the worst ever food we have seen in 5 star hotel. Most probably the hotel was saving costs, but it was too much. 4 out of 7 days the food was almost the same, too many pre-made foods, too many frozen food options, too many canned foods. The food was visually terrible, one day we had poorly made and visually disgusting pork sauce and we saw the same pork sauce next day with simply added canned chickpeas. Very cheap tricks to make people think its something new and fresh. Food was absolute letdown, this is one of the hotels that we really dont want to go back to just because of the terrible food.
And also, it might sound stupid, but the elevators in this hotel is a huge headache, if your room is in 6th floor, good luck getting to the 1st floor, you might have a few minute ride up-and-down until you get to the first floor.
First: this is not a 5 star! Just a 4 star.
Lobby: 4 star. A bit dated furniture
Restaurant: very «cantina» feeling. Ambience/style - 3+. Food: 3+
Indoor bar: dated and dull interior: 3
Outdoor bar: ok. A bit too little staff with only two bartenders. 4-
Outdoor pools: delicate and nice. 4+
Beach area: a lot of worn out parasols: 3
Restaurants: the Greek restaurant was fair enough 4-.
Gym: pleasant with outdoor. Warm of course but nice ambiance. New and nice tread mills. Worn out gym equipment- all in all 3+
Rooms: hotel consists of an old part built in early nineties and a newer addition of about 60 rooms built around 2015.
Old part - some floors renovated to a very delicate style! 5- (see picture of hallway) New part is nice and straight forward 4 star class.
Plus:
Nice beach
Has pizza, gyros and crepes on offer
Children area in a designated part on one side of the property
Big plus:
Easy to get access to sunbeds
Minus: only two elevators so often a lot of waiting time
