This was our first time staying at Z Hotel Tottenham Court Road, and it certainly won’t be our last!
From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was exceptional – friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They really made us feel valued throughout our stay.
The café was another highlight, with delicious food and drinks that were of a really high standard. It was the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring London.
The rooms are on the smaller side, but they’re designed so well that they feel perfectly ample. They’re modern, spotless, cosy, and relaxing, with everything you need, including air conditioning and great modern amenities.
The location couldn’t have been better – everything we wanted to see was within easy reach, making it the perfect base for our trip.
A special mention has to go to the members’ benefits, which are genuinely the best we’ve experienced at any hotel. They added so much value to our stay and really set Z Hotel apart.
Thank you to everyone for making our first stay such a wonderful experience. Ruth was an absolute gem in the cafe, Natalia the manager is so hard working and friendly and Haider was also lovely! We can’t wait to come back!
hi, wheelchair user here. my experience at this hotel wasn’t great. let me start by saying that the staff was incredibly helpful and kind and they def don’t are at fault here. they had a couple wheelchair accessible rooms, and let me tell you i’m sure no disability advisor was hired to test these rooms. so, the hall had an electric door (which was amazing) and a lift, brilliant. then you get to the room only to find an incredibly heavy door, and to make matters worse you only had 2/3 seconds to open it with the key card, i’ll let you imagine how that goes. what they should do is put a button with a passcode/keycard that opens automatically the door. let’s move to the “wardrobe” situation, it was a couple of hangers on the wall (which is fine considering how small the rooms are) but they were mounted on the wall so high that they were fully unsuitable for wheelchair users. the bed was ridiculously tall as well, i struggled so much to get on and off. then the best part: they had a keypad with all the buttons for the lights, curtains, etc… and again, it was over a table (so you couldn’t roll directly under it) and so tall aswell. even taller was the air conditioner remote, i had to call somebody every time i wanted to turn it on or off. on a sweeter note the bathroom was incredible, big, comfortable and the best shower i have ever found in an hotel. it’s so frustrating that in 2026 accessibility is still treated like something not important, and it’s enraging that companies just do the bare minimum to call themselves inclusive without ever testing their accommodations. also with a building so new it’s infuriating that accessibility is always an afterthought and not a necessary feature. two stars may seem mean all things considered, but even though service and location were incredible i cannot turn a blind eye to the ill working accessibility features.
I quite like the compact room set-up. Good sized bed, firm (not great for some, but good for my back), a bathroom pod, which had a good sized shower, water stream was powerful enough, I have thick hair and it was fine. Toilet & sink. Very minimal walk space, but that was fine. The big down for me, no curtains! So the room was bright as from about 4am. I like dark to sleep, wish this had been highlighted on the booking. Book a room with no window instead, the window was opaque anyway.
Noise - completely split opinion, I could not hear anything from the busy street outside, however I could here my neighbour room having a shower like I was in it with them.
Air-conditioning works effectively. Tv is huge.
Location is great for Soho and the Theatres.
I was staying solo, so the compact size of the room didn’t bother me at all. A second person would’ve made it pretty cramped though I believe there are several options of size. The fact that you can’t open the windows was relevant only because when I sprayed myself with perfume and came back to the room later, I was almost choking on the smell of it hours later - keep in mind if there are two of you. Spray when you leave the room!
Room was clean with ample place to put stuff, especially in the bathroom. Kettle and amenities were good (oat milk!) and bed comfy. Air con huge bonus as was the complimentary cheese plate and wine as a member. Sign up- It’s free and instant and it gives you 10% off booking.
My only complaint is service-related - I asked for three things and none of them were fulfilled. When I arrived, I asked for help with the a/c as I couldn’t figure it out. No one ever came. I saw a housekeeper next door and asked for a couple of extra sachets of milk - she said she’d be two minutes and I never saw her again. Lastly, I requested a room clean the night before as suggested on the card in the room, and saw a housekeeper next door when I left my room at 9:30 am - I checked that my room was on her list which it was, but it was never cleaned (To be fair, all I wanted were replacement towels)
The guy on reception was great, friendly and helpful with directions and advice. The women on reception less so: when I arrived, one of them said to the other ‘ Would you like to check her in?’ And the second one replied ‘not really’!
Very very small rooms but also very clean and service and location great.
Would have loved if at least the elderly in our group could have gotten a bigger room.
Also, reasonable prices. I would book again but not if I have a large suitcase, no room for luggage :)
