The hotel is massive and has lots of activities for adults and children to do. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities. There is a large selection of delicious food. Ladies pool is very clean and filled with good vibes. The animation (Aleyna and gizem) team organise such fun activities such as dance, water polo, darts and so much more. They have adventurous water slides that will thrill you. The hotel is perfect for people and families who want to enjoy the beautiful weather. I want to give another big shout out to Aleyna and Gizem for making our stay so fun and memorable.
We went from June 13th till June 24th on a wonderful holiday at Bera Resort. I spent 12 days there with my two children, aged 4 and 1.5. Our eldest child has a form of autism, which places significant demands on us as parents; consequently, this holiday was truly much needed. Thanks to Bera and all the staff, we have recharged our batteries. A big thank you to everyone who ensured our holiday was fantastic! We booked two separate rooms because sharing a single room with both children didn't work well for us, so we had each child sleep in their own room. Fortunately, this was all possible! We had to pay an extra €2,000+ for this, but it was more than worth it. The rooms are a bit dated in style, but it’s not bothersome at all. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Furthermore, the room was well-equipped with amenities such as a minibar, a TV, and a hairdryer. I did find it a shame, however, that there was no iron available. I really enjoyed the swimming pools. Both the mixed-gender area and the women-only section. The slides are amazing. However, I found the operating hours quite inconvenient. The closure between 12:00 PM and 14:00 PM, in particular, lasts far too long. I also considered the loud music by the pool a major downside; it really bothered me. Since it is a halal hotel, ideally, no music should be played at all. Additionally, not all guests adhered to the dress code; many men and women were exposing parts of their body that should be covered (*awra*). I also found it completely unacceptable that people were smoking freely around small children. That really should be banned, as it is extremely unhealthy and, on top of that, it smells bad. The lifeguards really do an excellent job. For example: my children were stopped a few times when they decided to run off away from me. The other outdoor staff also put so much effort into their work. At the poolside terrace, I met Halime, a woman who not only ensures everything stays clean and tidy but also takes the time to ask if you’re enjoying yourself and how you’re doing. I found that so sweet; it really touched me. She does her job with passion, and for her, the customer is truly the number one priority. Everyone in the outside dining area is incredibly friendly and kind, too. That’s where I met Ali Refza, a man who ensures there isn't a speck of dirt to be found on the floor. Even though my children always made a mess, and I would often sit on a chair while completely soaked from the pool, it didn't bother Ali Refza one bit. I even dropped all the pieces of watermelon off my plate once. When I tried to pick them up myself, he immediately said: “No, no, miss, it’s okay, I’ll do it.” He was always so friendly and kind! The guys behind the bar are fantastic, too. You can always get whatever drink you want, and their English is pretty good! Not many staff members speak English, which is a bit disappointing, you can usually make yourself understood by working together and using Google Translate. The main restaurant is truly excellent. You can eat whatever you like. The chefs put so much effort into preparing all kinds of delicious dishes for everyone. I really enjoyed it! Especially the lahmacun and the pide. Delicious! There is plenty of comfortable seating in the restaurant itself. The crowds were sometimes a bit of a challenge for our daughter, so we would occasionally go to eat during the last half-hour the restaurant was open, that worked really well. Even then, there was still plenty of food to choose from. There were also plenty of staff members on hand to clear away used plates and glasses from the table. I had the pleasure of meeting Stajyer in the restaurant. She is a lovely young woman who made me feel special every single moment. Her customer service is on another level entirely, and she truly does her job with a smile. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially to people with small children. The hotel is very child-friendly but also fantastic to adults. I had a wonderful holiday at Bera Hotel and will certainly be coming back.
We stayed at Bera Alanya Resort and personally, we do not think this hotel deserves 5 stars at all, and honestly, it does not feel like a true halal hotel either. The men’s swimming hours were barely respected. During the supposed men-only hours, women and children were constantly swimming there, making it impossible for men to enjoy the pool properly. This was extremely disappointing for a hotel that promotes itself as halal. The hygiene in the women’s hammam/spa area was also very poor. Especially the showers, which were dirty and badly maintained. The entire hotel looks old and worn out and is in serious need of renovation and investment. I have never seen something like this in a so-called 5-star resort. Also, at the women’s rooftop pool, extremely loud music was constantly playing. It was not relaxing or peaceful at all, which is exactly what you would expect in such an environment. But the worst part of all was the staff entering our room while the “Do Not Disturb” button was ON and there was also a “Do Not Disturb” sign hanging on the door. This happened twice. At one point, I was lying in bed undressed. Thankfully I managed to cover myself in time, otherwise they would have seen me like that. I repeatedly told them to leave, but all I got was “we don’t understand English.” Absolutely shocking and unacceptable. The staff can barely speak or understand English, which made everything even more frustrating. This place honestly feels like it is only meant for Turkish guests, because whenever we had questions about food or anything else, communication was almost impossible. I have never had such a terrible experience before and would absolutely not recommend this hotel.
Ive stayed in Adenya and selge beach im antalya for comparisons. Its clean and on the beach (but not fully private as guests from.other hotels can walk by). They dont have a segregated sandy private beach area. Rooms are spacious and clean and well stocked. Watersides are great and better than adenya. Food is fresh / tasty but less variety / options than the other 2. Pools shut ridiculously early. Gym is TERRIBLE and need of repair/ refurbishment (odd db pairs, mislabelled weights/ rusty creaky machines that cant be adjusted as pin stuck / missing. Boiling ac set to 25 that i asked 2 staff to change but fell on deaf ears! Staff are friendly but apart from reception no one speaks a single word of english really compared to other hotels we have been to. Nice arcade/games /bowling room - THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR! So ive saved up all year and gone to a very expensive hotel and now have to pay more- owners should take note from.selge beach! Its not a bad hotel at all but you are paying a premium so id expect it to be on par with the other hotels mentioned and its definitely not. Also finally my 'beach view' included the noise and sounds of a huge demolition site next door! EXTRA INFO The evening entertainment seems to be booked either the day before or on the day. Not advertised for the week ahead. And also the main show started at 10pm. Thats just simply too late for many families with children. In other hotels its at 8/9. On a positive the lifeguards were fantastic. Very attentive and on the lookout for danger/ safety which was very reassuring for people with children (and the best ive seen in a Turkish hotel)
I had a really pleasant stay! Everything was perfectly in order and well organized. The women’s pool area was especially impressive, it was clean, quiet, and very comfortable, offering a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were always super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The women’s bar was also a great place to unwind and enjoy a drink in a nice, welcoming environment. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything and would definitely recommend this place to others.
